The required prior work experience for the bidder includes works experience and annual turnover. The bidder needs to provide a list of projects executed that are similar in nature to the work. Regarding the value and percentage of similar works completed, for tenders with works value more than Rs. 5.00 crores, the bidder should have executed similar nature of work worth 75% of the estimated cost put to tender during any three financial years taken together of the last preceding five years. Additionally, if the rate quoted by the bidder is less than 15% of the tendered amount, then such a bid shall be rejected. The quantity mentioned can be increased or reduced to the extent of 10% for individual items subject to a maximum of 5% over the estimated cost. The bidder should also have the total financial turn over in respect of Civil Engineering works of an amount not less than the amount put to tender during any three financial years taken together of the last preceding five financial years. The experience of Bridge works should be specifically certified by an Officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer. For tenders with works value up to Rs. 5.00 crores, there are no specific qualifying criteria for prior work experience except for certain clauses.
