The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid is calculated using the following formula: Assessed bid capacity = (2x A x N - B) Where: A = maximum value of work executed in any one financial year during last five years (updated to the current price level) B = value at current price level of the existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the period of completion of works for which bids are invited N = No. of years prescribed for completion of the work for which the bids are invited. Additionally, the bidder should have executed a minimum quantity of similar major items of work, which is 40% of the estimated annual quantity of execution, calculated as: Qualifying quantity = 0.4 x (estimated quantity of work) x 12 / period of completion The firm must also possess credit facilities of no less than Rs. 142.00 Lakhs, with the working capital requirement being at least 20% of the tender amount. The performance security is determined by the difference between the estimated cost and the bid amount, with the following formulas: * If the bid amount is below 5% of the estimated cost, no additional performance security is required. * If the bid amount is 5% or above and below 10% of the estimated cost, 50% of the difference between the estimated cost and the bid amount is required as performance security. * If the bid amount is 10% or above of the estimated cost, 150% of the difference between the estimated cost and the bid amount is required as performance security.
