Placing and laying on roof with 3 mm thick APP modified water proofing membrane with STP super thermolay plain having 160 GSM non-wooven polyester core reinforcement applied by torch on method with the help of LPG/Butane gas torch and sealing of all overlapping joints properly by torch welding with the help of a round tipped small steel trowel to make the entire surface monolithic. The overlapping joint shall be 100 mm each in both longitudinal and transverse direction. The membrane shall be laid on smooth level surface (ensuring that there is proper slope on the roof for complete drainage of rain water into the drain mouth provided at various place on the roof) by first sealing of all major cracks more than 2 mm width by making V grooves and then sealing the cracks with the PMC mortar, prepared at site by adding Latex (ShaliSBR latex) in the mortar (1:4) cement : sand after giving a slurry bond coat of same latex:water:cement in the ratio of 1:4:6 & leaving it to cure for 2 days minimum 8 making the surface totally dust free and applying coat of STP's Shalitex primer @ 400gm/Sqm & leaving the same to dry overnight and then laying of the membrane i.e. Superthermolay, 4 mm plain by first aligning the membrane & then start laying from the lowest point of slope of the roof upwards, by showing the flame at the junction of the membrane and the sustrate from the centre of the sheet to the edge in the both direction in such a way that 50% of the flame first goes on to the sustrate and then 50% to the membrane at the junction area till it bleeds slightly, which then is pressed carefully again from centre to the sides to take out the entrapped air if any and slowly un-rolling and heating to complete entire membrane, followed by joint welding. The entire roof when is done with this manner (or a sizable area is completed) then a top sealer coat of hot applied bitumen 85/25 is given @ 1.2kg/Sqm, which then is finished with a top painting of bitumen based UV resistant aluminium coating i.e. Super silver shield @ 0.125 kg/Sqm to make the treatment UV resistant and heat reflective for enhanced life and durability of waterproofing works complete in all respect as per TDS of the company and direction of the EIC.
