20mm. thick cement plaster (1:4) over parapet admixing with waterproofing compound ( Dr Fixit Pidiproof LW+/Shaliplast LW+) is specially formulated integral liquid waterproofing compound composed of surface active plasticising agents, polymers & additives @200ml/50kg cement) or any reputed make as per IS : 2645-2003 and IS: 9103-2000 standards including curing as per direction of EIC.

2.5cm thick grading concrete (1:2:2) on roof slab dmixing with waterproofing compound (Dr Fixit Pidiproof LW+/Shaliplast LW+) is specially formulated integral liquid waterproofing compound composed of surface active plasticising agents, polymers & additives @ 200ml/50kg cement) or any reputed make as per IS : 2645-2003 and IS: 9103-2000 standards including curing as per direction of EIC with 6mm size hard granite chips on old work complete as per direction of EIC.

Providing and fixing in position pre-moulded joint filler i.e. Shalitex expansion joint (SEJ) board in expansion joints as per direction of EIC.

Providing, mixing and applying bonding coat of approved adhesive on chipped portion of RCC as per specifications and direction of Engineer-In-Charge complete in all respect.

Providing and laying in position bitumen hot sealing compound i.e. Shalitex sealing compound for expansion joints etc. Using grade 'A' sealing compound as per direction of EIC.

Providing & laying in situ seven course water proofing tretmrnt with APP ( Atactic Polypropylene) modified Polymeric membrane (STP superthermolay) over roof consisting of first coat of bitumen primer @ 0.40 Kg per sqm, 2nd, 4th & 6th courses of bonding material @ 1.20 kg/sqm, which shall consist of blown type bitumen of grade 85/25 conforming to IS : 702, 3rd and 5th layers of APP modified Polymeric membrane (i.e. STP super thermolay plain having 160 GSM non wooven polyster core reinforcement) 3.0 mmthick of 4.5 Kg/sqm weight consisting of five layer prefabricated with centre core as 100 micron HMHDPE film sandwiched on both sides with polymeric mix and the polymeric mix is protected on bothside with 20 micron HMHDPE film. The 3rd course i.e. APP membrane will be applied by torch on method with the help of \LPG/ Butane torch and sealing of all overlapping joints properly by torch welding with the help of a round tipped small steel towel to make the entire surface monolithic. The overlapping joints shall be 100 mm each in both longitudinal and transverse direction applied by torch on method with the help of LPG/ Butane gas torch and sealing of all overlapping joints properly by torch welding with the help of a round tipped small steel trowel to make the entire surface monolithic.The overlapping jionts shall be 100 mm each in both longitudinal and transverse direction. The membrane shall be laid on smooth level surface (ensuring that there is proper slope on the roof, for complete drainage od rain water into the drain mouth provided at various place on the roof), by fisrt sealing of all major cracks more then 2mm width by making v-groovs and then sealing the cracks with the PMC mortar, prepared at site by adding Latex (ShaliSBR Latex) in the mortar (1:4) cement :sand after giving a slurry bond coat of same Latex: water:cement in the ratio of 1:4:6 and leaving it to cure for 2 days minimum 8 hours making the surface totally dust free and the applyinf coat of STPs Shalitex Primer @ 400 gm/sqm and leaving the same to dry over night and then laying of the membren i.e. Superthermolay, 3mm plain by first alinging the membren and the start laying from the lowest point of slope of the roof upwards, by showing the flame at the junction of the membrane and the substratr from the centre of the sheat to the edge in the both direction in such a way that 50% of the flame first goes on to the substrate and then 50% to the menbrane at the junction area till it bleeds slightly, which then is pressed carefully again from centre to the sides to takeout the entrapped air if any and slowly unrolling and heatting to complete antaire menbrane followed by joint wellding. The fifth course i.e. APP membrane will not be applied with tourch on method, it will be applied over 4th course of bonding material of hot blowen bitumen. ( Note- 7th, the top most layer shall be finished with brick tiles of class designation 10 grouted with cement mortar 1:3 ( 1 cement: 3 fine sand) mixed with 2% integral water proofing compound by weight of cement over a 12 mm layer of cement mortar 1:3 ( 1 cement: 3 fine sand) and finished neat (item of laying brick tiles shall be paid separetly). Here inplace of 7th course or top most course, the entair roof surface is painted with UV resistant Aluminium coating i.e. Super Silver Sheild @0.125 kg/sqm to make the treatment UV resistant and heat reflective for enhanced life and durability of water proofing works, complete in all respect as per direction of EIC
