The important information given under the technical capacity header which is specifically related to prior work experience includes: * The entity claiming experience should have held a minimum of 26% equity during the entire year for which Eligible Experience is being claimed for Categories 1 and 2. * The entity claiming experience shall have itself undertaken the construction of the project for an amount equal to at least one half of the Project Cost of eligible projects. * The capital cost of the project should be more than 5% of the amount specified as the Estimated Project Cost. * The sum total of the payments received should be more than Rs 19.59 Crore, which is the Threshold Technical Capacity. * For normal highway projects, at least one similar work of 20% of the Estimated Project Cost should have been completed from the Eligible Projects. * The completed value of work should be more than 90% of the value of work, and such completed value of work should be equal to or more than 20% of the estimated project cost. * The estimated capital cost of Eligible Project should be more than Rs 1.31 crore. * The experience for each category would be computed as per weight of following factors to arrive at its aggregated Eligible Experience, with weights assigned as: - Project in highways sector that qualify under Clause 2.2.2.6 (i), 1 - Project in core sector that qualify under Clause 2.2.2.6 (i), 0.75 - Construction in highways sector that qualify under Clause 2.2.2.6 (ii), 1 - Construction in core sector that qualify under Clause 2.2.2.6 (ii), 0.75 * The Technical capacity in respect of an Eligible Project situated in a developed country which is a member of OECD shall be further multiplied by a factor of 0.5. * For linear projects, if any Major Bridge/ROB/Flyover/Tunnel is part of the project, then the Bidder shall necessarily demonstrate additional experience in construction of Major Bridge/ROBs/Flyovers/Tunnel in the last 10 financial years preceding the Bid Due Date. * For Major Bridge/ROB/Flyover projects, the Bidder shall have completed at least one similar Major Bridge/ROB/Flyover project in the last 10 financial years preceding the Bid Due Date, having span equal to or greater than 50% of the longest span of the structure proposed in this project or 100m, whichever is less, and also the cost of such similar project shall be at least 20% of the Estimated Project Cost or Rs. 1000 Cr, whichever is less. * For Tunnel projects, the Bidder shall have completed at least one tunnel project in the last 10 financial years preceding the Bid Due Date, consisting of single or twin tubes, having at least 50% of the cross-sectional area of the tunnel to be constructed or cross-sectional area of 2 lane highway tunnel, whichever is less, and 20% length of the tunnel to be constructed in this project or 2 km, whichever is less, and cost of such project shall be at least 20% of the Estimated Project Cost or Rs 1000 Cr, whichever is less. * The project should have at least 50% of the cross-sectional area of the tunnel to be constructed or cross-sectional area of 2 lane highway tunnel, whichever is less, and 20% length of the tunnel to be constructed in this project or 2km, whichever is less. * The cost of such project shall be at least 20% of the Estimated Project Cost or Rs 1000Cr., whichever is less. * A project shall be considered to be completed, if more than 90% of the value of work has been completed and such completed value of work is equal to or more than 20% of the Estimated Project Cost or Rs 1000Cr., whichever is less. * The entity claiming experience shall, during the last 5 (five)/10 (ten) financial years preceding the Bid Due Date, have itself undertaken the construction of the project for an amount equal to at least one half of the Project Cost of eligible projects, excluding any part of the project for which any contractor, sub-contractor or other agent was appointed for the purposes of construction. * For Categories 3 and 4, the project cost should be restricted to the share of the applicant in the joint venture for determining eligibility. * Maintenance works are not considered as eligible projects for evaluation, unless taken up on EPC mode.Similar work or eligible projects given in technical capacity experience include: - Widening / reconstruction / up-gradation works on NH / SH/Expressway or on any category of road taken up under CRF, ISC/ El, SARDP, LWE - Widening/ re-construction/up-gradation works on MDRs with loan assistance from multilateral agencies or on BOT basis - Widening/ reconstruction / up-gradation work of roads in Municipal corporation limits, construction of Bypasses - Construction of stand- alone bridges, ROBs, tunnels - Construction/Reconstruction of linear projects like airport, runways, railways (Construction/Reconstruction of railway tracks, yards for keeping containers etc.), Metro rails and ports (including construction/reconstruction of jetties) - Project in highways sector that qualify under Clause 2.2.2.6 (i) with a factor of 1 - Project in core sector that qualify under Clause 2.2.2.6 (i) with a factor of 0.75 - Construction in highways sector that qualify under Clause 2.2.2.6 (ii) with a factor of 1 - Construction in core sector that qualify under Clause 2.2.2.6 (ii) with a factor of 0.75 - Linear projects like airport, runways, railways, metro rails, and ports, including construction/reconstruction of jetties - Major Bridge/ROB/Flyover/Tunnel projects with specific requirements for span and length - Stand-alone specialized projects, including Major Bridges/ROB/Flyovers and Tunnel projects, with requirements for cost and completion percentage (20% of Estimated Project Cost, 90% completion) - Maintenance works on EPC mode, with specific requirements for cost and completion percentage (20% of Estimated Project Cost, 90% completion) - Improvement in Riding Quality work (IRQP/IRQ) for Technical Capacity, but not for similar completed works, unless it's a Maintenance work on EPC mode.
