Construction of dry lean cement concrete Sub- base over a prepared sub-grade with coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS: 383, coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm nominal size, aggregate cement ratio not to exceed 15:1, aggregate gradation after blending to be as per Table: B below, cement content not to be less than 150 kg/ cum, optimum moisture content to be determined by trial during construction, concrete strength not to be less than 10 Mpa at 7 days, mixed in a batching plant, transported to site, laid with a mechanical paver, compacting with 8-10 tonnes vibratory roller, finishing and curing etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. Note for Sl 13: 1. Cement content considered is @ 390 kg/cum. Excess/ less cement used as per design mix is payable/ recoverable separately. 2. It is the responsibility of the contractor to bring and use appropriate Batch mixing plant to the construction site for production of concrete and the quoted rate shall include the expenditure towards the same. 3. It is also the responsibility of the contractor to carry out the Design Mix of Cement Concrete as per the specification above from a Govt. Engineering College and get it approved from FCI. The quoted rate shall include the fees of for carrying out the design mix charged by Government Engineering College, cost of material required to carry out the Design Mix and other incidental expenditures. 4.
