The required prior work experience for the bidder is related to the similar nature of work, which is "Execution of works of construction of Bridges/Rebuilding of Bridges or Regirdering of Bridges/Launching of slabs under the running track." The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 (seven) years: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, - One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. For subletting of work, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs.50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The value of similar works completed should be clearly mentioned in the work completion certificate and the covering letter, along with the bill copy. No specific amount or percentage is mentioned as a requirement for the bidder to be eligible, except for the percentages mentioned above (30%, 40%, 60%, and 35%). A work is considered substantially completed if payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. The credential certificate should have been issued not prior to 60 days of the date of invitation of the present tender. For completed work, the value of the final bill, including the PVC amount, is considered as the completion cost of work. In case of substantially completed work, the total gross amount already paid, including the PVC amount, is considered as the cost of substantially completed work.
