East Coast Railway Tender

The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: i. Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, ii. Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, iii. One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. Additionally, for composite works, the tenderer must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: i. Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of tender, ii. Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of tender, iii. One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of tender. For subcontractors, they shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of work to be subletted, in last 5 years. No prior work experience is required for tenders having advertised value up to Rs 50 lakh. The bidder is required to submit certificates and testimonials regarding contracting experience for the type of job for which tender is invited, with a list of works carried out in the past. The definition of similar nature of work includes Supply, erection/installation, testing and commissioning of Electrical assets pertaining to HT and/or LT & HT power supply systems. Substantially Completed Work means an ongoing work in which payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor in that ongoing contract.
