In-Situ Test Setting up of boring rig at each location, shall be paid only once for each borehole location including moves between borehole positions. Item includes marking the location on the ground by actual survey (by using precision position instruments such as Global Positioning System and Total Station) from nearby bench mark based on the co-ordinates provided in layout drawings, setting up all field test equipment and bringing all personnel to the location. Wash boring for single bore hole of 50mm dia.Up to Required depth up to 15m or refusal below existing ground level as necessary and site condition as per IS standard. Standard penetration (SPT for N value) test to be taken at every 1.5m depth. First test shall be conducted at1.5m depth below the G.L. and two nos. of U.D.S shall be taken. Collection of soil samples at every1.5 m depth for visual inspection and classification of the soil. Recording the depth of the ground water table if made in the bore hole depth. Submission of soil investigation report with soil bearing capacity including the bore log along with all field observation and soil classifications, result of the grain size analysis, Atterberg's Limits, consolidati on and shearing parameters etc. including find out of bore hole location and the preparation of the report. Item includes cost of all the handling charges and dispatching soil samples (samples to cover over all representation of substrata which are not obtained by UDS and SPT) to Laboratory for carrying out testing in lab etc. all as per the specification and as directed by engineer in charge, excl.lab testing, reporting etc as specified in subsequent items all complete as directed. On land (including area covered on soft and swampy soil) ORDINARY SOIL/HARD SOIL boring will be terminated on Refusal for 3 times continuosly. 0-10m

Obtaining 90 mm diameter 450 mm long undisturbed soil samples (Both under water & Land boreholes ) using shelby tube at every 3m interval up to 10 m depth and 2 m interval beyond 10 m or at change of strata ATERNATE TO S P TEST from boreholes and sealing and labelling the container. Continuous UD Sample shall be taken at 1.0 M interval if subsoil is soft and cohesive etc. all as per the specification and as directed by Engineer. Undisturbed soil sample shall be collected only in soft to stiff clay having SPT value up to 20 and medium stiff to hard clay SPT shall be conducted. Note: Undisturbed Soil Sample (UDS) shall be completely coated with paraffin wax and shall be kept under shade at no time to be exposed to direct sunlight. UDS shall be transported to Laboratory within seven days after completion of bore hole/trial pits.
