The bottom M.S. angle frame of the cable compartment of the feeder pillar shall be made out of 50x50x6mm (approx.) M.S. angle and the remaining frame shall be of40x40x6mm (approx.). The overall approx. dimensions of the feeder pillar are as under: i) Length(height) of the feeder pillar including cable compartment but excluding height of the hood=1800mm, ii) Breadth=1885mm&iii) Depth=350mm.

G.I. earthing strips of size 40x6mm(approx..) thick complete with 25kg of charcoal and 25kg salt and watering arrangement using 20mm dia. ‘C’ class G.I. pipe, funnel with wire mesh, water inlet pipe,400x400x400mm(approx.) cement concrete (1:2:4) chamber with 125mm wall thickness with RCC cover of 100mm(approx.) thick. The earthing plate shall be buried vertically at a depth of 2.5metres(approx.) from ground level. The resistance of the earthing station shall be tested with calibrated earth resistance tester and results recorded as required.

Supplying and carrying out the miscellaneous work at existing feeder pillar No.2A as mentioned below:
a) Providing and fixing 3 Nos. 400A,415V insulated fuse bases and 315amps,415volts low watt loss HRC fuse links in the existing feeder pillar No.2A located near Domestic Cruise Terminal complete with removing the old fuse base and disconnecting the existing cable and pot-heading the same.
b) Disconnecting the neutral core ends of all cables from the neutral bus-bar and replacing the old one with new tinned copper neutral bus-bar of size 40x5mm(approx.) with insulated epoxy bus-bar supports.
c)Strengthening the existing cc foundation of the feeder pillar by using cement plaster/mortar, red bricks, etc. and repairing the feeder pillar wedge lock arrangement to ensure proper locking.
d)Reconditioning the feeder pillar by thoroughly cleaning the same and giving one coat of epoxy primer and two coats of epoxy paint as required.
This work shall be carried out in a time bound manner during shutdown period.

REINSTATEMENT OF EXCAVATED PORTION OF CABLE TRENCHES ACROSS THE ROAD

Reinstating the excavated portion of cable trenches across the asphalted/ concreted road about 30m long and 1m wide by carrying out the work of soling and surfacing the excavated ground after removing and clearing the surplus earth all along the cable route. The work comprises of laying the 160mm thick sub-base(rubbles) using stone metal of 40mm to 90mm, providing and laying 150mm thick Water Bound Macadam(WBM) comprising 40 to 63mm size metal and consolidating it to 100mm thick by road roller, providing and laying pre-mixed asphaltic macadam(bitumen grade:60/70) of 100mm thick and rolling with road roller and finally, providing and laying 50mm thick hot pre-mixed asphaltic concrete wearing course(bitumen grade:60/70) and rolling with road roller. The entire work of reinstatement of the excavated portion of cable trenches shall be carried out as per MbPT Civil Engineering Department’s standard specifications for Road Work
