The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing similar works within the last 7 years. The specific requirements are as follows: - For works without composite components: * Three similar works costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, * Two similar works costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, * One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. - For composite works: * Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, * Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, * One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. Additionally, for subcontractors, the requirement is to have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The bidder must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed, with a value of not less than 35% of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. Alternatively, for major bridges, the bidder must have completed one similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value, or two similar works costing not less than 40% of the advertised value, or three similar works costing not less than 30% of the advertised value, in the last 7 years. The value of similar works completed is considered as the total gross amount already paid including the PVC amount (if paid).
