Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth, lead up to 50 m and lift up to 1.5m, as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

a) Ordinary rock

b) Hard rock (blasting prohibited)

Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead up to 50 m and lift up to 1.5 m.

Extra for every additional lift of 1.5 m or part thereof in excavation /banking excavated or stacked materials.

a) Ordinary or hard rock.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level :

a) 1:5:10 (1 Cement : 5 coarse sand (zone-III) : 10 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size).

Providing and laying in position specified grade of reinforced cement concrete, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement - All work up to plinth level :

a) 1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand (zone-III) : 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size).

Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for all heights:

a) Foundations, footings, bases of columns, etc. for mass concrete.

Steel reinforcement for R.C.C. work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding all complete up to plinth level.

a) Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-500 D or more.

Smooth finishing of the exposed surface of R.C.C. work with 6 mm thick cement mortar 1:3 (1 Cement : 3 fine sand)

Supplying of Anchor bolts at site manufactured from 25mm dia Mild Steel bar of 1550 mm in length in single piece confirming to IS 2062-1999, threaded at top 200mm length and full welding MS Plate 80mm x 80mm x 8mm thick at bottom of anchor bolt including suitable hexagonal nuts,check nuts and Mild steel spring washers etc all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. ( Each Anchor bolts fixed in position, shall be measured separately for payment. Agency shall carry out mandatory test of Anchor Bolts and shall produce neccesary mandatory Test Certificate for each group of Anchor Bolts as described in the special conditions of the agreement and nothing extra shal be paid on this account)

Fixing available base plates, templates and supplied anchor bolts etc. for stem of tower foundation including scaffolding, accurate positioning, levelling etc. and maintaining the position and level till casting of RCC work of columns is over and applying grease to the exposed portion as protection from rusting & including supplying & fixing nutbolts for assembly of template etc all complete as per the directions of the Engineer-in-charge. (Note:- Any variation in centre to centre distance of anchor bolt from drawings after casting of concrete,may require dismantling and recasting of columns for accurate positioning of anchor bolts at the cost of agency).

Transportation and carriage of 40m USO tower base plate / template with its component angle sections from BSNL Satara to work site by all means of transport including loading, unloading, stacking and keeping in safe custody till utilisation for work & returning the whole kit safely to BSNL at Satara etc. all complete as per direction of the Engineer - in - Charge.

Supplying of M.S. template and its connecting angle for 40 metre NBLW / NBFL / USO tower as per approved drawing including cost of cutting the edges and drilling the holes to required shape, size, dia. and legnth as per approved drawing at site of work etc. all complete as directed by Engineer in charge.

Excavating holes more than 0.10 cum & upto 0.5 cum including getting out the excavated soil, then returning the soil as required in layers not exceeding 20 cm in depth, including consolidating each deposited layer by ramming, watering etc, disposing of surplus excavated soil, as directed within a lead of 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.

a) All kinds of soil.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level :

a) 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand(zone-III) : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size)

Structural steel work riveted, bolted or welded in built up sections, trusses and framed work, including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer all complete.

Steel work in built up tubular ( round, square or rectangular hollow tubes etc.) trusses etc., including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer, including welding and bolted with special shaped washers etc. complete.

a) Hot finished welded type tubes.

Providing and fixing ISI marked oxidised M.S. sliding door bolts with nuts and screws etc. complete :

a) 300x16 mm

Providing and fixing G.I. chain link fabric fencing of required width in mesh size 50x50 mm made of G.I. wire of dia 2.0 mm including strengthening with 2 mm dia wire or nuts, bolts and washers as required complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade:

a) Two or more coats on new work over an under coat of suitable shade with ordinary paint of approved brand and manufacture.

Providing and welding of box hinges 100 mm size by welding to the gate channels etc. all complete as directed by the engineer in charge.

PART B

Dismembering / Dismantling of 40 Mtr ground based USO tower (from top to bottom)Approx. weight 10 MT, as and where available, including dismembering of all members and fittings by removing the nuts and bolts including stacking in order of all members, Runway ,ladder,earthing flat,wave guide,antena , cables, accesaries, nut-bolts and other materials of towers at site carefully within 50m lead and making the site clear all complete as per the direction of Engineer in charge. (Rate is inclusive of all operation for engaging labour, T&P, ropes, scaffolding involved for dismantling of tower, clearing of jungle/ grass at site, if required,Dismentling of cement concrete if required for dismembering of tower and its accesories,counting of members or parts and preparation of list, stacking the tower material at required locations all complete.) All necessary arrangements & precautions shall be made during dismantling of tower for safety of life and property including necessary insurance cover for laboureres and third party. Nothing extra shall be paid on any account.) Note: Before start of Dismantling of Tower the agency has to submitt the List of unavauilable /missing members of the tower( to be dismentaled)to the Engineer-In-Charge)

Mechanical Transportation of 40 Metre high dismantled USO tower material (Approx. 10.00 MT weight ) including loading, transportation and unloading at site of work, carriage from road side to work site & stacking the same, making security arrangement against theft/ loss etc., allied activities all complete as per the directions of the Engineer-in-charge.

a)From Velekamthi to Phalani

Erection of 40 metre height Tower as per approved Drawing and specification with all its necessary components which includes Anetena Fixtures, Carrier and fastnings, Gantry, Cable feeder Rack, Resting and working platforms with Hand Rails, wave guide Rack & Support, Ladders, Climbing Ladders, platform with railing and fixing with Galvanised bolts, nuts & spring washer, necessary welding whereever required including acceptance testing etc. complete in all respect as per direction of Engr-In-charge. ( The item will be measured after successful completion of A/T by the BSNL competent authority. A/T equipments likes Binoculars, Torque wrench of all sizes, Theodolite, shall be arranged by the Agency) (Note: Rate includes cost of all operations involved in hoisting and erection of tower including hire and labour charges of tools, plants and machineries, all insurance premium of labours/ third party , AT etc complete and nothing extra will be paid.(ii) Rate includes cost of all operations involved in hoisting and erection of tower including hire charges of tools, plants and machineries etc. and is inclusive of cost of all type of labours including skilled, unskilled, highly skilled labours, technicians etc. with insurance premium of all the workers employed by the agency and also includes straightening of any bent tower materials, making & matching holes of members/gusset plates wherever required and nothing extra will be paid on any account whatsoever.

(iii) The erected tower will have to meet the tower erection standards of the department and any deficiency/ discrepancy/ deviation in erected tower pointed out by the testing authority during acceptance testing (A/T) of the same, will have to be rectified by the agency.(iv) Tower Erection may be carried out in habitant area; hence the agency has to ensure extreme precaution during the execution of the work to prevent any accident/ injury/ harm/ damage to any human or animals or property or trees and plants etc. at all cost. If any mishap happens due to negligence of the agency, he will be held sole responsible for the damage and will have to face the law and bear the cost as well.

Fabricating & Supplying of hot dip galvanised bolts and nuts of grade 5.6 and as per IS- 12427 including spring washers/plain washers of required diameters and length for mobile tower erection etc. complete as directed by Engr-in- Charge.

Fabricating and supplying of hot dip galvanised iron of minimum 85 microns structural member as per IS- 4759 such as angles, channels, welded lugs, platform, ladder wave guide rack, antenna fixtures, pipe stand for lightening arrester, templates, base plates, cable tray, runway etc.of required length shape and size including drilling holes for bolts etc. in exact conformity with the approved drawings and as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge as per required drawing for mobile tower . All sections are stampped with appropriate Mark Number etc. complete as directed by Engr-in- Charge. NOTES: 1. All tower materials shall be hot dipped Galvanised (Galvanising shall not be less than 85 micron) . The tower materials, fabrication and galvanizing shall be as per relevant BIS and SERC specifications. 2. Measurements: Weight of individual member shall be worked out on the basis of linear measurements and standard coefficients or actual weight. Nuts, bolts and washers shall be measured for payment.

Extra for supplying hot dip galvanised pipes & nutbolts etc. ( over agreement item no.10) for tower antenna pole mounts at site. The material required is to be provided in required lenghts including drilling holes for bolts etc. in exact conformity with the approved drawings and as per the direction of Engineer in charge.

Painting with High Gloss Synthetic Enamel paint (Asian Apcolite / Shalimar/Berger ) in two or more coat on Tower . The colour of painting shall be of International white & orange. The painting should b e done in accordance with IS 1477 part - I & II . The rate includes painting of all the members such as platform, bracing, ties, strut, wave guide, antena and it"s fixtures, lugs, gusset plate, angle, bolts etc. complete including making necessary arrangement of safety belts, helmets to labours.

a) 40m USO Tower

Supplying & laying Charcoal required for Ring earth as per specification given by the Department in excavated trench in layers of required thickness below and above GI strips as per direction of Engineer in charge.

Supplying & spreading crystal salt required for Ring earth as per specifications given by the Department in excavated trench mixed with charcoal below and above GI strips as per direction of Engineer in charge.

Providing and fixing lead strips of size 50X50X1 mm at joints of GI earthing strips as per direction of Engineer In Charge.

Providing and fixing multy prong copper Lightening arrester of 1500mm length, 25mm dia, hollow tube and of wall thickness not less than 1.60 mm including tinning the bottom portion of the spike for a length of not less than 150mm and connecting to the G.I. strip of size 50 x 3mm by means of clamps and 2nos 10mm dia brass bolts and nuts all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. The lightening spike shall be fixed to the tower with Teflon sheet to avoid direct contact with the tower.

Providing and fixing LED aviation obstruction lamp of Saraj, Binoy, Aviads, Litten or equivalent make with light dependent resistance sensor (day and night automatic timer) with necessary MS brackets and MCB switches, clamps etc., complete, all as per directions of Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying & laying of 2x1.5 Sqmm armoured copper conductor Cable "Armoured/ ISI PVC Insulated & sheathed cable" of approved quality and brand including copper terminations/ Lugs etc. all complete as per directions of Engineer- in-charge. Sheath earthing for the armoured cable shall be done at minimum of two points on the tower as per the standards specified.

Making Plate Earthing for resistance upto 0.5 Ohm as per the following specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

1] Excavation for two pits of size 1.20 x 1.20mt upto 1.50m depth & below 1.50m 0.90X0.90m upto 3.00m from ground level (total 3.00 mt deep) at diagonally opposite to tower legs as follows. (Cost of excavation will be paid in separately in item of excavation)

2] Providing G.I. Plates of size 600x600x6mm in each pit including filling the pit with charcoal 100 Kg and salt 60 kgs. for G.I. plate earth electrode in layers & with cohesive soil for remaining pit, providing & fixing 20mm dia G.I. pipe with funnel for watering, funnel to be provided with grating/mesh at top.

3] All the G.I. plate electrode and G.I. flat interconnected with G.I. nuts and bolts and finally G.I. flats connected to ring earth / lightning arrester etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

4) Constructing 230 mm thick brick masonry chamber 0.30m.X0.30 M inside size and height upto 0.30 m, 12 mm C.M.plaster internally including bottom surface and 15 mm external plastering in CM 1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine sand) with RCC cover and RCC frame as directed by Engineer in charge. (Note :- The rate includes all the operations and materials involved and necessary Acceptance & Testing by the Competent Authority and nothing extra will be paid on any account).

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means in foundation trenches or drains (not exceeding 1.5 m in width or 10 sqm on plan) including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift up to 1.5 m, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed, within a lead of 50 m.

a) All kinds of soil.

Supplying and fixing to 40 M high Tower hot deep galvanised GI flats,plates,nut bolts for tower earthing (Ring earthing & plate earthing) complete , as per direction of Engineer in Charge.
