Providing, fabrication and laying of self supported arch shaped mechanically seamed trussless of colour coated galvalume roofing system such as Proflex or similar as approved by Engineer-in- charge, made of superior quality structural grade steel, having 350 MPA yield strength, pre coated galvalume sheet as per ASTM A 792 M of base thickness 0.90 mmto 1.60 mm (tolerance +/-0.02mm) with minimum coating mass as per AZM 150. Total coated thickness 1.075mm to 1.775 (tolerance +/- 0.02mm). Roofing should be designed as per ASCE 7- 20 international building code 2002. The analysis shall be carried out for span and center arch-rise considering out for span and center arch-rise considering the required live load, wind load, dead load and the seismic factor. The roof panel formation shall be done as per the required length and curvature using hydraulic profile machine to give it the trapezoidal shape in required curvature. Inthis process the width of the sheet reduces from 0.914 meter to 0.61 meter (tolerance +/- 0.02 m). Theroof panel shall be lifted using a suitable crane and using a spreader bar and sling evenly placed to ensure no distortion of the panels during lifting and placing. The crane shall hold/support the panel till the alignment is done and completed using a plomb and a water tube and bolted into beam. These curved panels have interlocking formation and are crimped together using mechanical seaming 08 machine, which imposes a load of approximately five tonnes to ensure the seaming of required rigidity. After seaming, a clear epoxy lacquer is applied on the inner side of panel end in 15 cm width to form a protective layer between panel and concrete beam. "These panels are installed over existing water proof concretegutter-beams having beveled edge to receive (support) curved panels. Beam shall design for arch reaction and vertical loads. Plaster shall not applied on the beam. Schmidt Hammer test of the concrete should be carried out before erection to ensure that the anchor bolt can be securely fixed on support. In case of steel structure a steel runner plate of 6 mm thickness and G.I. sheet gutter of suitable size shall be provided for installation of panels, G.I. anchor bolt of required size and type withG.I. washer and neoprene washers shall be provided as per design. After installation of panels, trapezoidal voids are created between gutter-beam and panels which should be covered by a flashing fabricated or brick masonary which is to be paid separately. Area of this roof shall be measured along the periphery of hem-top between end to end of panels. Ridge and valley shall not be taken into consideration for measuring length tranverse to periphery. The rate includes supplying, fixing, loading unloading, hire charges of all plants machineries, acnhors, fasteners, washers, bolts, epoxy, paint and all wastage etc. complete. The rate includes supplying and fixing accessories and fixtures like hangers/clamps for installation of lighting/fixtures/utility/duct as per requirement. This item shall be executed only by the agency, which has all require manufacturing machineries and necessary expertise. Note- Contractor will have to be submit the design of roofing for approval of Railway. Roofing shall be provided only after getting it approved from railway . Providing, Fabricating & laying of colour coated Galvalume (Proflex system roofing) material for self supported roofing system (Technology similar to Proflex system provided by M&B engineering Pvt.Ltd., Ahmedabad), Material shall be of following specification, APT 0.95mm Tolerance +/- 0.02mm thick, width 605 mm or as dicided by Railway (Tolerance +/- 2mm), including supplying, loading, transporting, unlopading and staking at site, fabricating and laying with all contractors tools, plants, machineries materials and fixtures labours including all lead and liftand laps/ wastage if any etc. complete.The colour ofshe et will be decided by Railway. The rate is also inclusive of designing of roofing system, proof checking and providing execution drawing. 10 Fabrication and installation of self supported roofing technology similar to Profles System provided by M&B engineering Pvt.Ltd., Ahmedabad or decided by engineer a) length 19 meter oir as per site requirement. b) Arch length 23 meter o r as per site requirement. Note: The roofing system should be self supported roofing system (i.e. without trusses, purlings or any ancillary supports_ shall designed bythe Contractor through the consultant and got duly proof checked from VITI / Indian Insitute of Technology, Mumbai, any other Govt. agencies. Design and drawing will be approved by Railways. For design of roofing system relevant load parameters of IS code of practice to be adopted. The cost of designing and proof checking of design and drawings will not be paid separately and these charges are deemed to be included in rates of this item. The rates shall also inclusive of preparation of necessary auto cad drawing required for execution of roofing system should be 100% leak proof, resistant to corrosion and maintenance free.
