The required prior work experience for the bidder includes total work experience in specific roles, financial experience with similar works completed, and experience certificates for each completed similar work. The experience certificates should contain details such as name of work, actual amount of work done, actual date of completion, and share of JV partners (if applicable). The bidder should have experience of having successfully completed similar works, with specific requirements including: - Three similar works, each costing not less than 20% of the probable amount of contract during the last 5 financial years, - Two similar works, each costing not less than 30% of the probable amount of contract during the last 5 financial years, or - One similar work costing not less than 50% of the probable amount of contract during the last 5 financial years. The average annual construction turnover on the construction works should not be less than 50% of the probable amount of contract during the last 5 financial years. The value and percentage of similar works completed include: - Average annual turnover on the construction of Civil Engineering works during preceding 5 financial years shall not be less than 50% of the probable amount of contract. - A probable amount of contract (PAC) more than Rs. 5.00 Cr is required for certain bidders. - A 10% weightage per year is applied to bring the value of work executed at the present price level. The bidder should also execute similar items of work in any one financial year during the last 5 financial years, with a minimum physical requirement if prescribed. Existing commitments and physical qualifications are also considered.
