i ANNEXURE I. Scope of work: Supply of 1-phase, 2 kHz, 9 kVA, iron-based amorphous cored, shell type transformer as per the following specifications. Quantity: 03 nos. II. Specifications: Table-(1) Rating of the Transformer : 9 kVA Frequency : 2 kHz Phase Single Primary : Voltage : 350 Volts Secondary : Voltage : 60 Volts Current : 150 Amps Isolation Level Between Primary and secondary : 1.5 kV DC Between Secondary and core : 1.5 kV DC Between Primary and core : 1.5 kV DC Efficiency : ≥ 98 % Regulation : Better than 4 % Temperature Rise : 25˚C above ambient Type of cooling : AN Insulation resistance : > 500 MΩ Class of Insulation : B Note: 1. Both primary and secondary windings have to be made of copper conductors. 2. The magnetic circuit shall be of shell type construction and the core should be made of iron-based amorphous alloy. 3. Shielding should be provided between primary & secondary and its terminal should be brought to the terminal plate mounted on top of the transformer. ii 4. Both the primary & secondary terminals should be brought on either side of the transformer and length of the terminals should not be less than 400 mm. 5. Terminals should be tinned and free from varnish/tape/burr for good electrical connection. 6. The material for tie rod & fixing bolts should be SS-304 nonmagnetic and the same should be properly insulated in assembly. 7. Transformers should be provided with suitable arrangements for mounting. 8. The fabricated transformers should be varnished under vacuum. 9. Preliminary information [In accordance with Table-(2) depicted below], the drawing showing arrangement of major components such as core, coil, terminal details etc. and the dimensions pertinent to the transformer being quoted should be sent along with the quotation. 10. Supplier should have the equipment / test facilities for conducting required tests on this transformer and should mention the details of the test facilities available. 11. The supplier shall be responsible for proper packaging, transport and safe delivery of transformers to RRCAT. 12. Transformers should be guaranteed for one year from the date of commissioning and final acceptance. 13. Validity of the quotation should be minimum three months. Table (2) (1) Make & type / size of the core used (2) Flux density (3) Net Core area (sq. mm) (4) Number of primary turns (5) Type of conductor and its size for primary (6) Number of secondary turns (7) Type of conductor and its size for secondary iii III. Acceptance Criteria: 1. Following tests will be carried out at manufacturer’s end in the presence of RRCAT officials before delivery of the fabricated transformers: a) Turns Ratio b) No load test and hence measurement of core losses at 2 kHz c) Load test at 2 kHz with a load of not less than 2 kW and hence measurement of copper losses at that test load d) Checking of output wave form at 2 kHz e) Primary to Secondary Isolation level f) Leakage Inductance value g) DC Resistance of the windings h) Insulation of coil with core at 1.5 kV DC for 1 minute 2. The transformer will be tested at RRCAT for the tender specifications and will be accepted only after the performance is found satisfactory.
