CONDITIONS 1. The general condition of the contract for the CPWD works 2014 including up to date correction slip shall be applicable. 2. The contractor shall make his own arrangement for transporting the building materials from store/yard to work site .No payment shall be made on this account. 3. The payment will be made in accordance with the quantity of actual work done and not according to the quantity in schedule. 4. Work should be carried out as per the specification and orders and instruction of Engineer –in –charge 5. Unsatisfactory work if any will be rejected and the contractor will be liable to make good the loss to Government in this account. 6. Work should be done during the normal working hours. 7. Any substandard work or delay in execution of work will be liable for termination of the contractor and work will be taken up by department at the cost of the contractor. 8. Income tax and GST if any shall be recovered as per existing rule. 9. 50% of labour should be engaged locally. 10. The contractor shall properly return all non consumable items issued for the work to the store after completion of work. An acknowledgement shall be obtained to this effect. 11. The contractor shall make his own arrangement for water required for construction and curing work. Temporary electric connection including electrical consumption charge for construction shall be arranged and paid by the contractor. 12. 1% of the total cost of construction work will be deducted from the bill as welfare cess of Lakshadweep building and other construction workers.
