Civil works for panel movement. The scope of work includes making necessary arrangements for transportation of individual panels like removal of entrance door/windows, cutting wall/concrete beam of central substation building, constructing new brick wall after completion of panel movements, plastering, fixing new doors/windows and painting. All items required for the work shall be arranged by the contractor. All waste materials shall be transported to scrap yard or elsewhere in the complex as directed by Engineer-in charge.

Dismantling and transportation of existing 3.3kV panel. The scope of work includes rack out bulk oil circuit breakers from panels, properly marking and disconnecting power cables/ control cables/earth cables/motor heater cables of panels, disconnecting inter panel power/earth bus bars, disconnecting inter panel control wirings, removing inter panel mechanical connections, removing foundation bolts from MS channels/MS plate/concrete floor, removing foundation channels if necessary, transporting the panels/foundation channels/foundation plate and circuit breakers from first floor of Central substation to a temporary location as directed by the Engineer-in charge. Contractor shall arrange necessary tarpaulin sheets to protect the panel from dust and rain till completion of removal of critical items like bus bars, current transformers, switches, indications lamps, relays etc. All removed items shall be handed over to Technician in charge and panels shall be transported to scrap yard. The crane, lorry, lifting tackles, etc., required for handling and transportation of switchboard panels from work site to scrap yard shall be arranged by the contractor. Approximate dimensions of existing panel is Length-18490mm, Width-1670mm, Height-2480mm.

Transportation and erection of new 3.3kV panels. The scope of work includes loading/unloading, transportation of new 3.3kV panels from stores to Central Substation building first floor without causing any damage to the panels, handling at site, unpacking, checking of components of supply equipment/items as per BOM, listing and handing over of list of short supplied items to site-in- charge, concrete cutting/chipping of floor for cable entry/fixing foundation channels, fixing new 100x50x5mm MS C-channels as per the GA drawings submitted by the panel manufacturer, drilling foundation bolt holes in the MS channels/ MS plate/ concrete, levelling the foundation floor for placing the new panels, grouting, fixing the panels on the foundation MS channels/ MS plate/ concrete, aligning all panels properly, tightening the foundation bolts, inter-connecting all panels, inter-linking power and earth bus bars, checking positioning/alignment and tightness of bus bars and providing cable supports using MS angle of minimum size 65x65x5mm. Contractor shall supply the MS C-channels of size 100x50x5mm and MS angle of minimum size 65x65x5mm required for successful completion of the work. The MS C-channels and angles shall be painted with two coats of anti-corrosive epoxy paint (grey colour) over two coats of suitable primer. Products of M/s. Asian Paints, Berger Paints, Kansai Nerolac Paints & Shalimar Paints alone will be accepted. Product literature of the manufacturer shall be furnished to the Engineer-in charge and the product to be used shall be got approved before starting the work. The epoxy primer shall be Zinc Phosphate primer and thinner used for the work shall conform to the brand specified by the manufacturer in the product literature. Bolt, nut washers, Epoxy primer, Epoxy paint, Sand, cement, brick, etc. for successful completion of the work shall be arranged by the contractor. The crane, lorry, lifting tackles, etc. required for handling and transportation of switchboard panels from CD Stores to work site shall be arranged by the contractor.
