Dismantling and transportation of existing old 3.3kV switchboard. Dismantling of old panels is done section wise as per the instruction of the Engineer in charge. The scope of work includes rack out of 3.3kV bulk oil/air circuit breakers from panels, properly marking and disconnecting power cables/ control cables/ earth cables/ motor heater cables of panels, disconnecting inter panel power/ earth bus bars, disconnecting inter panel control wirings, removing inter panel mechanical connections, removing foundation bolts from MS channel/ MS plate/ Concrete floor, removing foundation channels if necessary, covering exposed live panels/busbars with suitable protective material/ insulations ,transporting the panels/ foundation channels/ foundation plate and circuit breakers from first floor of 110kV substation to a temporary location as directed by the Engineer-in charge. Contractor should arrange necessary tarpaulin sheets to protect the panel from dust and rain till completion of removal of critical items like bus bars, current transformers, switches, indication lamps, relays atc. All removed items should be handed over to technician in charge and panels should be transported to scrap yard within 1000m inside FACT premises. The crane, lorry, lifting tackles etc required for handling and transportation of switchboard panels from work site to scrap yard shall be arranged by the contactor. Fork lift required for shifting old panel from first floor to the ground floor of the substation shall be arranged by the contractor. Existing old switchboard comprises a total of 20 number of vertical sections. Dismantling of old 3.3kV panels has to be done section wise as per the instruction of Engineer in charge. At the initial stage, all the vertical panels in bus section 2 including bus coupler has to be dismantled. Dismantling of rest of the old panels should be done after the completion of erection and charging of new 3.3kV switchboard.

Transportation & erection of new 3.3kV Switchboard. The scope of work includes loading/ unloading, transportation of new 3.3kV panels from stores to first floor of 110kV substation building without causing any damage to the panels, handling at site, unpacking, checking of components of supply equipment/items as per BOM, listing and handing over of list of short supplied items to site-in- charge. Fixing foundation channels, fixing new MS C-channels of appropriate size, drilling foundation bolt holes in the MS channels/ MS plate/ concrete, levelling the foundation floor for placing the new panels, grouting, fixing the panels on the foundation MS channels/ MSplate/ concrete, minor floor chipping as per requirement, aligning all panels properly, tightening the foundation bolts, inter-connecting all panels, inter-linking power and earth bus bars, checking positioning/alignment and tightness of bus bars and providing cable supports using MS angle of minimum size 65x65x5mm. Contractor shall supply the MS C-channels of appropriate size and MS angle of minimum size 65x65x5mm required for successful completion of the work. The MS C-channels and angles shall be painted with two coats of anti-corrosive epoxy paint (grey colour) over two coats of suitable primer. Products of M/s. Asian Paints, Berger Paints, Kansai Nerolac Paints & Shalimar Paints alone will be accepted. Product literature of the manufacturer shall be furnished to the Engineer-in charge and the product to be used shall get approved before starting the work. The epoxy primer shall be Zinc Phosphate primer and thinner used for the work shall conform to the brand specified by the manufacturer in the product literature. Bolts, nuts, washers, Epoxy primer, Epoxy paint, Sand, cement, brick, etc. for successful completion of the work shall be arranged by the contractor. The crane, lorry, lifting tackles, etc. required for handling and transportation of switchboard panels from Stores to work site shall be arranged by the contractor. The scope also inculdes providing necessary arrangements for removing temporary MS plate flooring/beam for uplifting new panel through the provision /opening in the existing substation building. After completion of work, floor plates/ beams have to be placed back to its original position. Fork lift required for lifting panel from ground floor to the first floor of the substation shall be arranged by the contractor. The new switchboard comprises a total of 17 number of vertical sections.

Concrete core cutting with floor chipping as per the requirement at appropriate locations of floor for cable entry required for each vertical section of the entire switchboard.
