Butt welding - 300 NB, BW, SCH 80 - MATERIAL: CS A 106 Gr. B, IBR. Rate for branch welding with reinforcement pad shall be taken as 1.5 times the rate for ordinary pipe weld. The rate for weld joint shall include all costs associated with making a joint such as cleaning, marking out, cutting, profiling, beveling, grinding, aligning, fitting-up, tack welding, cleaning, chipping, preheating, placing of wind shields and /wind or weather protection and final welding together with any special welding requirement (including but not limited to inert gas welding) and final cleaning of welds. This item shall include preparation, final alignment, butt / seal / socket fillet welding of fabricated pipe sections, spool pieces, fitting valves, flanges / orifice flanges etc. and closing length installed and roughly aligned into the respective position and align on respective supports. For branch welding with reinforcement, the rate shall include all costs towards fabrication and welding of reinforcement ring also. Branch welding without reinforcement pad shall be considered as one pipe weld. Rate for branch welding with reinforcement pad shall be taken as 1.5 times the rate for ordinary pipe weld. The rates does not cover stress relieving, radiography/DP tests. Payment shall be made on the basis of number of weld joints completed. Welding of sockolets, weldolets, threadolets and such fittings shall be paid according to the size of the fitting and not according to the size of the piping to which it is attached. Payment for non-specified sizes/thickness will be made propotional to the product of nominal bore and thickness of the pipe based on the nearest available size / thickness.
