Sand blasting of the Fume Fan, Dryer Fan, Cooler Fan, DH Fan, and miscellaneous equipment at the NP Plant, FACT-CD, Ambalamedu.

Sand blasting of Fume Fan / De-Humidified (DH) Fan of A & B Stream of NP Plant. Work Involves: Arrangements and transportation of required materials like sand, blasting equipments, Hose etc. to site. All the necessary arrangements and equipment including Air- compressor required for sand blasting shall be under the scope of contractor. After getting the clearance from Maintenance and Process dept., the fan's fixing plummer blocks will be properly covered to prevent sand from entering the plummer block during sandblasting. The fan casing cover and drain pipe will be dismantled and placed outside. The shift engineer will then be notified to inspect deposits on the fans. Fan rotor and suction hood shall be sand blasted neatly without any deposit. After sandblasting, the shift engineer will be informed to check for any remaining deposits. Used sand and deposits will be removed/cleaned from the inside area of the fan casing. Once thorough cleaning is completed, the fan casing cover and drain pipe will be lifted/fixed back into position properly to prevent any leakage. The contractor must adhere to the latest standards for sandblasting and take safety measures while performing the sandblasting.

All the necessary arrangements and equipment including Air- compressor required for sand blasting shall be under the scope of contractor. After getting the clearance from Maintenance and Process dept., the required fan casing cover and drain pipe shall be dismantled and kept out side. Fan fixing plummer blocks shall be covered properly. Fan rotor and suction hood shall be sand blasted neatly without any deposit. Used sand / deposits shall be removed / cleaned from inside area of the fan casing. After the completion of thorough cleaning,the fan casing cover and drain pipe shall be lifted / fixed back in position properly to avoid any leakage. The contractor must adhere to the latest standards for sandblasting and take safety measures while performing the sandblasting.
