PART B BRIDGE
Design and constructionof road over bridge with pre-stressed concrete I girder with RCC slab or prestressed box girder or similar type as per the scope of work provided in special conditions of contract (Section-VII) technical specifications (Section-VIII Part B) and General Alignment Drawings including design charges, cost of all materials including pontoons, labour, tools and plants etc. complete. The lumpsum rate quoted for the above will cover pile foundations, MS liners for piles (wherever required), routine vertical pile load test for one pile , sub-structure, super-structure, deck slab, bearings, strip seal type expansion joint, embankment with suitable retaining structure and subgrade, foot path, hand rail, crash barrier, provision for service lines, provision for bridge drainage, painting of RCC surfaces with Elastomeric membrane coating, levelling surplus earth, clearing site, etc.. (Pavement construction excluding subgrade and drainage will be paid under respective items. Sub grade on approach of ROB, casting of test pile, initial load test on test pile, routine vetical pile load test and span load test are included in the Lumpsum portion). Beams/girders and deck slab shall be intergrally connected to the pier and pier cap by avoiding expansion joints. The loading for the above reqyurements shall be properly considered as per the relevant Indian Codes of practice. However, at approcah embankment and railway spans, strip seal expansion joints shall be provided.
