THD: No load<1.5%,non-distorting balanced linear load<5% k.Telephonic harmonic factor: less than 2% h.Block load capacity of 55%.The alternator should confirm to IS 4722.Operation and service manual , spares and tools shall be provided Safety Protection for Alternator AC Alternator protection for Over/ Under Voltage, Over/ Under frequency, Overcurrent, Short circuit and loss of AC sensing The alternator should confirm to IS/ IEC 60034-1. Routine tests as per relevant ISS shall be conducted and test reports of the same shall be furnished at the time of delivery. Fuel tank Integral type fuel tank of capacity not less than 275 liters/as per manufacturer's standards with drain plug, air vent, inlet and outlet connections, level indicator and provisions for cleaning.Fuel Tank Suitable size built in type integrated with the acoustic enclosure with full tank Diesel Fuel connection shall be done as per standards. Battery and Battery Charger Required number of suitably rated fully charged 150 AH battery with leads and terminals including suitable type external Battery Charger for charging the battery from external mains as required as per manufacturer's requirements. The battery charger shall be suitable to charge the required number of batteries 12V/24V complete with transformer, Rectifier charge rate selector switch, indicating Ammeter & Voltmeter etc. This will be in addition to the battery charging alternator or dynamo fitted on the engine. Acoustic enclosure a,The DG set shall be supplied along with specially designed company fabricated (to be fabricated in the same company firm where the DG set delivered) acoustic enclosure to meet the stringent MOEF/CPCB norms of 75 dBA@ 1 m at 75% load under free field conditions b.Sufficient space and clearance shall be maintained inside the enclosure to have optimum serviceability c.Air inlet louvers shall be designed in such a way to operate the set at rated load even at 50ºC enclosure temperature d. The enclosure shall be 11 tank pretreatment processed and UV resistant powder coating of all parts to withstand extreme environments e.Hardwares used shall be of only stainless steel make f.Insulation material shall conform to IS 8183 specifications Documents to be supplied a.Engine manual b.Spare parts book c.Warranty certificate d.Alternator manual & test certificate e.1 set control wiring drawing f.1 set tool kit Mounting Arrangement It shall be installed in the pre-constructed concrete bed on a common MS fabricated base frame with AVM pads complying to relevant IS standards, IE rules and as per the direction of the Department officials. Exhaust System Exhaust piping : All MS pipes for exhaust line shall be conforming to the relevant IS. The work includes necessary cladding of exhaust pipe work using 50mm thick loosely bound resin (LBR) mattress/ mineral wool/ Rockwool, density not less than 120 Kg/m3 and aluminum cladding (0.6mm thick) for the complete portion. The exhaust pipe work includes necessary supports, foundation etc. to avoid any load and stress on turbo charger/ exhaust piping. The exhaust piping shall be run along the existing wall of the building duly clamped/ supported on independent structure. (a) Exhaust system should create minimum back pressure. (b) Number of bends should be kept minimum and smooth bends should be used to minimize the back pressure. (c) Exhaust piping inside the acoustic Enclosure/ Generator room should be lagged with asbestos rope along with aluminum sheet cladding (d) When the tail end is horizontal, a 45 Degree downward cut should be given at the end of the pipe to avoid rain water entry into exhaust piping. (e) When the tail end is vertical there should be a rain trap to avoid rain water entry. If a rain cap is used, the distance between the rain cap and exhaust pipe should be higher than the diameter of the pipe. (f) The exhaust outlet should be in the direction of prevailing winds and should not allow exhaust gases to enter air intet/ windows etc. (g) "Schedule B" MS pipes and long bend/ elbows should be used. Testing and commissioning The DG set shall be tested as per relevant IS standards. Block load testing shall also be conducted. The DG should have capacity to withstand blocked load of at least 55%.Droop characteristics shall also be tested and adjusted for enabling parallel operation. The load required for testing shall be made available at site by the selected agency at his own expenses. Warranty The DG set shall be guaranteed for 3 years from the date of commissioning from any defects in manufacturing. Any of the spears/ components which are found to be defective during this period shall be replaced immediately free of cost by the selected Agency/ Contractor
