FILTER UNIT [FRP vessel 750mm dia., 3No]:

OD429285/2023-2024:Supplying and fixing PRESSURE SAND FILTER having 750mm dia.and HOS 1800mm or nearest and maximum thickness should not be less than 6mm with manhole and cover for easy inspection at top and an opening provision for media removing arrangement at bottom side with dummy arrangement capable of discharging water at 10,000 LPH with a capacity to with stand the operating head which is necessary to deliver water to OH Tank at 12.0 m height, with best quality suitable size Butterfly/MULTIPORT Valve for easy back washing ,rinsing and filtering. The unit should withstand a internal pressure of 10 Kg/Cm2 . The container should have a manhole with cover at top for easy inspection of the unit, provision for door/dummy at the bottom for media removal. The unit should be so installed at suitable point that the operation and maintenance is easy. Details of filter media are - The supporting media include Peblles of 1.5' - 1'; Pebbles 0.75' - 0.5'; Pebbles 3/8' - 1/4; Silex Coarse 1/2' - 1/4'; Silex Medium - 1/4' - 1/8'. The filter media includes Silex Fine 8/16' and Quartz Sand 16/32'. The filter media should have good performence life for a minimum period of 3 yrs. The system should be compactible as per the site condition and other units including motor pumpsets.The whole installed system will be under guarantee for 3 years from the date of commissioning. The technical details including drawing and specifications of the filter unit and accessories, O&M manual with guide lines for trouble shooting shall also be submitted in two set and trial run should be conducted as per the direction of Deptl officers.

Characteristics :- Effective size of iron removel media- 1.4mm - 0.6mm - Uniformity co efficient- 1.5 -2.0 – The supporting media include Pebbles of various sizes as mentioned under pressure sand filter – depth 20 cm – Grit of size-6.35 mm- 3.2 mm- depth 20 cm). The type of iron removal media includes either a combination of Katalox Light or MnO2 or a combination of BIRM & MnO2 (NSF approved) media based on the water charecteristics. The filter media should have good performence life for a minimum period of 3 yrs.
