Conducting surge analysis and supplying , fixing & Commissioning of electrically operated Surge Anticipating Valve with Double Relief. The work involves conducting detailed survey & surge analysis of the water pumping main contemplated under this scope and to provide advanced and compact surge anticipating valve at appropriate location with design based on the technical data available with authority in respect of the Raw water pumping main and scheme and with the condition that all other necessary details needed for providing appropriate surge anticipating valve have to be collected and included in the rate and with the condition that the detailed reports along with recommendation and suggested devises which comply with the following technical requirements have to be submitted to the Engineer in charge of the work, who will make a decision and intimate the firm appropriately with reasonable time. The work involves supply, erection and commissioning of suitable automatic surge anticipating valve with appropriate fittings and accessories such as air valve, Tempering, isolation valves (Gate valve made of DI), MS fabricated pipes etc complete for the satisfactory functioning of the devise. The surge anticipating valve should comply the following requirements. Automatic, solenoid control valves activated upon pressure in the pipe line. The valve to be fixed as per standards as identified on the basis of surge analysis after detailed survey and investigation work and the cost included. The valve should open within less than a second after power fails with support of battery power. The opened valve should allow the release of the returning flow, thus preventing from developing surge inline. The valve should close when a pre-set time is elapsed, adjusted by a time relay and needle valve, which disconnects the battery power. Closure time of the main valve is adjustable, to avoid surge that may be created by the valve closure. There must be quick pressure relief function to safeguard the pumping line from exceeding above the safe operating pressure. The main valve to be direct-sealing diaphragm valve, made of ductile iron, who’s only moving part is a flexible diaphragm that is activated by the pipeline pressure. The low mass inertia and no friction of movement ensure instantaneous opening when the pressure on tip of the diaphragm falls to zero value. The valve to be of the weir pattern that allows very high flow velocities without excessive noise and vibrations. The equipment will be having no stem, sealing trim guide bearing and seal that area located within the water passage with no possibility of any material trapped by them. The valve needs to have simple possible structure, enabling fast and easy maintenance by unskilled local operators. The control system shall consist of 50mm or appropriate size hydraulic relief valve that drains the control chamber of the main valve within 0.5secs 12 V DC or appropriate solenoid valve. High pressure opening pilot that controls the main valve and this pilot will be diaphragm- activated, spring loaded. Needle valve will be used as closure speed regulators of the main valve and 12mm or appropriate ball valve, used to isolate the control circuit. Strainer filter for the activation water. The material specification for the main surge Body anticipating valve & Diaphragm: Natural rubber reinforced including Design, analysis, engineering , supply and delivery , erection and commissioning of DOROT or equivalen quality make Electrically operated surge anticipating valve 250 mm size with DI isolation gate valve along with required MS pipes and fittings etc required at site, Charges for removing existing 900mm NRV shutters as per design & Charges for Site earth work , RCC support and RCC chamber for Surge anticipating valve br, lifitng , labour charges etc as directed by the engineer incharge
