OD273725/2022-2023:A water level indicator working in conjunction with a float device shall be provided to show the water level in the water tank/sump. The float of minimum 150mm diameter shall be used. This shall be accommodated in a PVC pipe (of minimum diameter 200mm and Class3) fixed in the wash water tank floor vertically and provided with enough holes at bottom so that the water level in the pipe shall be 9 same as that of tank water level. The PVC pipe shall extend up to a height 30cm below the roof so that the float can be taken out if necessary. The PVC pipe shall be fixed at the bottom in concrete shall be clamped at top with the wall/roof. The level indicating panel shall be made of enamel quoted MS or Aluminium sheet of minimum thickness 3mm mounted on teak wood frame necessary graduation in metric units and width 150mm. There shall be angle frame of minimum width 25mm all around the panel. The panel shall be painted in white and levels every 5cm shall be painted with black paint and every meter shall be painted in red. The lettering and marks shall be of required width so that it shall be visible from a distance of 30m to the normal eye. The indicator panel shall wall mounted at the appropriate place using clamps bolted to wall properly. The plumb/ indicator shall be brass/ lead triangular in shape having base 150mm wide & 200mm height with suitable arrangement for its movement on 10 SWG brass wire. The indicator will be connected to the polythene ball inside the tank (not less than 15cm. diameter) through iron rope of 10 SWG & plug arrangement etc. The drawing of indicator showing all the details and all allied fixtures such as float, copper guide chair, pulleys counter weight indicating arrow etc shall be approved by the Engineer in charge before fabrication and erection.
