PAVEMENT COMPONENTS

Scarifying Existing Bituminous Surface to a depth of 150mm - by Mechanical Means - Scarifying the existing bituminous surafce to a depth of 150mm and disposal of scarified material with a lift upto 3m and lead upto 1000m as per technical specification Clause 301.4.1

Excavation in soil using Hydraulic Excavator and Tippers with disposal upto 1000m - Excavation for roadwork in soil with hydraulic excavator of 0.9 cum bucket capacity including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections and transporting to the embankment location with a lift upto 1.5m and lead upto 1000m as per technical specification Clause 302.3

Construction of embankment with material obtained from Roadway cutting - Construction of embankment with approved material deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meet requirement of Table 300.1 and 300.2 as per technical specification Clause 301.5

Stabilisation of in-situ (existing pavement crust) or soil or otherwise sub base/base course up to the required depth by cold in-situ recycling using cement and chemical additives/otherwise: Providing pulverizing, spreading, milling and mixing of chemical additives at the appropriate rate as per job in mix design in accordance with IRC-SP-72-2015, I RC-37-2012 & 2018 and IRC SP 89 (part-II) 2018. Cementitious additive @ rate of a minimum of 5 - 7% and CCS/CS additive should be spread on the existing pavement using a mobile truck mounted containerized cement/additive spreader with microprocessor controlled weighing and spreading system. The additive spreader shall have variable working width sufficient to cover whole pavement lane. The in-situ stabilization process shall be carried out by a mobile and self-propelled stabilizer/reclaimer of working width of 2.4 m and with minimum engine horsepower 440 kw with a variable working depth up to 50 cm. The resultant stabilized mix then would be profiled to the required grade, level and thickness using motor grader and the mix would be compacted using 20 tonne pad foot roller in combination with smooth wheel roller to achieve desired proctor density as per IRC 37-2012 & 2018 and complete in all respect and curing with water as required including all materials, labour and machinery etc. The entire insitu process would be carried out in single pass with milling and pulverising of damaged asphalt pavement/soil/ aggregates/soi1-aggregate mixture to the desired depth and with simultaneous addition of additives and water with machine integrated spray bars fitted on the wheeled self-propelled and vibratory pad foot roller to achieve the desired proctor density in all respects. The tandem roller should be followed by Pneumatic Tyre Roller. The minimum unconfined compressive strength (UC’S) of’ stabilized subbase/base should be 4.5 to 7 MPa after 7/28 days of curing as per IRC-SP-72-2015, IRC-37-2012 & 2018 Also durability aspects (wet-dry cycles) of stabilized subbase should be satisfied as per IRC 37-2012 & 2018 and IRC SP 89 (part II) 2018. The gradation mixes and materials should be as per IRC 37-2012 & 2018 and IRC SP 89 (part II) 2018. The train of equipment to be used are binder spreader- water Tanker - Additive Truck - Recycler - Padfoot Roller (20 Tonne) + Single Drum Compactor- Grader- Tandom Roller- Pneumatic Tyre Roller (20 Tonne) - layer thickness 225mm

Providing and laying paving fabric with physical requirements as per table 704-16 over a tack coat of paving grade Bitumen VG- 30, laid at the rate of 1 kg per sqm over thoroughly cleaned and repaired surface to provide a water-resistant membrane and crack retarding layer. Paving fabric to befree of wrinkling and folding and to be laid before cooling of tack coat, brooming and rolling of the surface with a pneumatic roller to maximize paving fabric contact with the pavement surface

BITUMINOUS WORKS

Prime Coat - Medium porosity-providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion (Packed SS-1) on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at a rate of 0.9-1.2 kg/sqm using mechanical means as per technical specification clause 502

Bituminous Concrete - Providing and laying bituminous concrete with 80-100 TPH hot mix plant producing an average output of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder(VG- 30) @ 5.4 per cent of mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MORTH specification clause No. 507 complete in all respectsGrading - II (13.2 mm Nominal Size) Using Bulk Bitumen VG-30 and 7% shredded plastic

RIGID PAVEMENT

Granular Sub-base with well graded material (Table 400.1)-By Mix in Place Method- For Grading I material -Construction of granular sub-base by providing well graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotovator at OMC, and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density as per technical specification Clause 401

Water Bound Macadam Sub-base / Base- WBM Grading III - By Mannual means - providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specified sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with three wheel 80-100 kN static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, stone screenings/ binding material to fill up the interstices of course aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density grading 3 as per technical specification Clause 404

Cement Concrete Pavement - Construction of un-reinforced dowel jointed at expansion and construction joint only,plain cement concrete pavement ,thickness as per design,over a prepared sub base,with 43 grade cement or any other type as per clause 1501.2.2 M 30 (grade),coarse and fine aggregates conforming to IS383,maximum size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm,mixed in a concrete mixer of not less than 0.2cum capacity and appropriate weigh batcher using approved mix design,laid in approved fixed side formwork spreading the concrete with showels,rakes,compacted using needle, screed, and plate vibrators and finished in continuous operation including provision of contraction and expansion ,construction joints, applying debonding strips, primer, sealant, dowel bars, near approaches to bridge /culvert and construction joints, admixtures as approved,curing of concrete slabs for 14 days,using curing compound and water finishing to lines and grade as per drawing and TechnicalSpecifications clause 1501

CD WORKS

Dismantling Stone Masonry- Dismantling existing structures like culverts, bridges, retaining walls and other structures comprising of masonry, cement concrete, woodwork, steelwork, including T&P and scaffolding whereever necessary, sorting the dismantled material, disposal of unserviceable and stacking serviceable material with all lift and lead of 1000m as per technical specification Clause 202.1 - Rubble Stone Masonry in Cement Mortar

Providing and Fixing 'Logo' of PMGSY Project - Providing and fixing of typical PMGSY informatory sign board with Logo as per MORD specifications and drawing. Three MS Plates of 1.6 mm thick, top and middle plate duly welded with MS flat iron 25mm x 5m size on back on edges. The lower plate will be welded with MS angle iron frame of 25mm x 25mm x 5mm. The angle iron frame of the lower most plate and flat iron frame of middle plate will be welded to 2 nos. 75mm x 75 mm of 12 SWG sheet tubes posts duly embedded in cement concrete M-15 grade blocks of 450mm x 450mm x 600mm, 600mm below ground level. The top most diamond plate will be welded to middle plate by 47mm x 47mm of 12 SWG steel plate tube. All M.S. will be stove enameled on both sides. Lettering and printing arrows, border etc. will be painted with ready mixed synthetic enamel paint of superior quality in required shade and colour. All sections of framed posts and steel tube will be painted with primer and two coats of epoxy paint as per drawing Clause 1701 and Annexure 1700.1

Providing and Fixing typical PMGSY citizens information board as per MoRD specifications and drawings- Two vertical 76.1mm outer diameter MS sheet tube posts of 3.60mm thickness (medium class) duly embedded in cement concrete M-15 grade blocks of 600mm x 600mm x750mm, 600mm below ground level with two horizontal M S Sheet Tubes of 1000mm length to make the frame of board, four horizontals and two verticals with M S Sheet rectamngular Tube 50x25x2mm to make the frame to fix the board as per drawing, two M S Sheet 2.00 mm thick boards of size 900x750mm strengthened by 25mmx5mm MS flat iron including painting with stove enameled paint on both sides as per MoRD specifications. Lettering and printing arrows, border etc. will be painted with ready mixed synthetic enamel paint of superior quality in required shade and colour. All sections of framed posts and steel tube will be painted with primer and two coats of epoxy paint as per drawing Clause 1701 and Annexure 1700.1
