Scrapping and cleaning the downstream face of dam and its appurtenance for removing dirt, dust, bird excretion, grease, oil, algae, fungus, monkey beats, vegetable growth etc. by pressure washing using winch and cradle platform including cost of materials and labour charges etc. complete as per the directions of the departmental officers.(As per sanctioned estimate No. CE(C) DS & DRIP/LP- 21/Pr.Wash/ 2022-23 Pallom, dated 29.O9.2022)

Applying one coat of water thinnable cement primer of approved brand and manufacture on wall surface:Water thinnable cement primer

Wall painting with acrylic exterior emulsion paint, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content less than 50 grams/ litre, of approved brand and manufacture including applying additional coats wherever required, to achieve even shade and colour.- Two coats br (As per sanctioned estimate No. No: CE(C) DS & DRIP/LP- /Pr.Wash/ 2022-23 Pallom, dated 29.O9.2022)

Finishing with Epoxy paint (two or more coats) at all locations prepared and applied as per manufacturer's specifications including appropriate priming coat, preparation of surface, etc. complete.On steel work

Painting with aluminium paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade:One or more coats on old work)

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, upto seven story hight made with 40 mm dia. M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. taricase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it there after. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required location with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of Engineer- in Charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. Note:- This item to be used for maintenance work judicially, necessary deduction for scaffolding in the existing item to be done .

Painting the downstream face of the radial gate of the dam after the surface preparation through copper blasting process as per IS 1477 [part 1-1971 ( the average surface roughness after copper blast should not exceed 40 microns) the copper blast surface should be cleaned from loose dust and debris through air blast with the help of blower, to the class B specification ie. at least 95% of surface of steel should be cleared to base metal except some highly bonded residue in the form of mill scale/rust only. Then apply two coats of zinc rich primer ( containing not less than 85% of zinc dry film) to give a total dry film thickness of 70 + 5 microns within a time gap of 6 hrs, after surface preparation . Then apply two coats of solvent less coal tar epoxy paint at an interval of 24 hrs.(150microns each) including the cost of epoxy paint, primer, copper slag, compressed air, labour etc. complete as per the guide lines of IS 14177- 1994(reaffirmed 2019)and as per the directions of departmental officers ( Data as per the Sanctioned estimate CE (C)-DS & DRIP)/LP-21/Pr.Wash/2022-23 dated 29.09.2022.)
