MASONRY WORK

Laterite masonry in lime mortar 1:2:9(1cement:2 lime:9 fine sand ) using existing size or nearest available size of laterite for superstructure.including cost and conveyance of all materials, labour,scaffolding, curing, lead lift , etc complete at all levels and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Preparation of lime may be as per specification 6.0 attached

ROOFING WORK

Cleaning MP tiles, hip and ridge tiles by removing water weeds, fungi etc using wire brush and lime water including extra lowering charge and scaffolding charges

Roofing with departmental MP roofing tiles including extra labour with raised up mughappu, false ceiling, obstructions, additional works in valleying areas etc. including extra lowering charge and scaffolding charges

Providing and laying approved make, MP tiles of 320 mm or nearest size over reeper bands (already done) to correct lines and levels including the cost, conveyance of all materials etc. including extra lowering charge and scaffolding charges complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing departmental MP hip and ridge tiles set in lime mortar 1:11/2 including finishing edges using red oxide powder including extra lowering charge and scaffolding charges as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying MP hip and ridge tiles 1st class set in surki mortar (1: 1/2:1.5) including finishing edges, etc. including extra lowering charge and scaffolding charges complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing & fixing on ceiling factory pressed clay decorative floral tile (under mangalore tile roof) of 320mm x 200 mm x 12mm and as per approved pattern on timber frame work complete including extra lowering charge and scaffolding charges as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.(Timber frame work to be paid separately).

JOINERY WORK

Supplying and fixing FRP frames made of glass fibre conforming to IS:11551-1986, glass fibre rovings conforming to IS:11390-1985,isophthalic resin conforming to IS: 6746-1972, curing agents,accelerators, fillers, additives, fire retardants and pigments as specified. The frames shall be contact moulded by laying gelcoat at 500gm/m2 and laid over with two layers of FRP mat (one layer of 300 CSM mat and one layer of 450 CSM mat). The CSM mat shall be bonded with isophthalic resin and fillers of additives by weight. The edges shall be sealed with gelcoat and FRP mat to obtain smooth finish. The frames shall have an overall size of 100x63mm including the thickness of FRP and shall be filled with seasoned treated rubber wood on the inside. Suitable depressions shall be made in the door frames for receiving the fixtures such as hinges, mortice lock as well as 30mm door shutter. (one number mortice lock at the centre and three numbers of 100mm heavy duty stainless hinges). The rate shall include providing and fixing frames of approved colour for, providing and fixing 6 Nos. of flat iron hold fast of size 300mmx30mmx3mm using stainless steel screws, fixing in PCC 1:2:4 blocks, finishing the joints to match the surroundings and finishing the frames by buffing and polishing with wax as directed. (The contractor shall supply 1 No. of frames free of cost for every 10 Nos. of frames supplied at site or part thereof for destructive testing) The shutter shall be contact moulded by laying gelcoat at 500gm/m2 and laid over with two layers of FRP mat (one layer of 300 CSM mat and another layer of 450 CSM mat) for each of the web (panels) and two layers of FRP mat (one layer of 300 CSM mat and another layer of 450 CSM mat) for the flange portion (rails and styles). The CSM mat shall be bonded with isophthalic resin in the ratio of not less than 1:2 (one part of mat : 2 part of isopthalic resin and fillers and additives) by weight. The edges shall be sealed with gelcoat and FRP mat to obtain smooth finish. The shutter/frames shall have an overall thickness of 30mm with a width of 100mm for outer frames and 80mm for resin frames (as per drawings enclosed). The shutter frames shall be provided with treated and seasoned rubber-wood on the insides to receive the tower bolts, handle, mortise lock, hinges, door closers, etc. at specified locations. Suitable depressions shall be made in the shutter frames for receiving the hinges and concealed mortise locks. The rates shall include providing and fixing shutter ofapproved colour in the frames already provided and fixed, including fittings such as stainless steel hinges hinges, 2 numbers 150x10 mm stainless steel tower bolts, handles, door closers, mortice locks, etc. The shutter shall be buffed and polished with wax as directed. The thickness of FRP laminate of hollow rails and styles shall be minimum 2mm and thickness of FRP laminate used for panel in shutter shall be minimum 3mm.(Mode of measurement: Length shall be taken as back to back of outer frame and the height shall be taken from the Sill to the top of the outer frame)

FLOORING WORKS

Supplying and laying Southerly grey granite stone slabs in lime mortar 1:2,20 mm thick with 6mm open joints and grouted and pointed with lime mortar 1:2 for flooring curing, lead lift , etc complete at all levels and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.The samples of granite slabs shall be approved by the architect

Providing and laying PCC 1:4:8 (1 cement, 4 coarse sand and 8 graded stone aggregate 40mm nominal size) machine mixed and properly consolidated with hand rammers, including cost and conveyance of all materials, labour,shuttering, curing, lead lift , etc complete at all levels and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and applying flooring with white cement/cement plaster 1:3 (1cement and 3 fine sand) 15mm thick in two coats including a flushing coat of cement @ 2.2 kg/SQM)including mixing of approved quality red/black oxide powder (as per manufactures specification or Engineers direction) .including cost and conveyance of all materials,labour, curing, etc.as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at all levels.

Providing and fixing Ist quality ceramic glazed wall tiles of size upto 300 x450 conforming to IS: 15622 (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer), of approved make, in all colours, shades except burgundy, bottle green, black of any size as approved by Engineer-in-Charge, in skirting, risers of steps and dados, over 12 mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) and jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3kg per sqm, including pointing in white cement mixed with pigment of matching shade complete.

Ceramic tile flooring - Providing and laying antiskid Ceramic floor tiles of specified size of 1st quality conforming to IS : 15622 of approved make in colours such as White, Ivory, Grey, Fume Red Brown, and thickness 8mm, laid on 20 mm thick cement mortar 1:4 (1 Cement : 4 Coarse sand), including pointing the joints with white cement and matching pigment etc, complete (Premium quality tile only shall be used)

Providing and laying 16 to 20 mm thick polished granite slab with edge rounding & polishing if required of approved colour,make and pattern on floors, top of counter slabs, skirting, treads of steps, landings etc., including an underlayer of cement mortar 1:4 ( 1 cement : 4 coarse sand) 20mm thick and cement slurry @ 3.3kg of cement per sqm, finished with flush pointing using approved joint filler of matching shade including cost and conveyance of all materials labour etc.complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge at all levels

  Providing and laying factory made chamfered edge Cement Concrete paver blocks In foot path, park & lawns driveway or light & traffic parking,yard etc. of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over 6mm thick stone aggregate bedding and 800 micron ultraviolet resistant PVC Sheet on the entire area , compacting and proper embedding/laying of inter locking paver blocks through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand, all complete as per manufacturer's specifications & direction of Engineer-in-Charge.60mm thick Cement concrete paver block of M-35 grade with approved colour, design & pattern

FINISHING WORK

Plastering with lime mortar 1:2:9,(1cement:2 lime:9 fine sand )12mm thick using lime mortar and adequate quantity of herbals such as Jaggery, kadukka water and etc for old surface for traditional works including cost and conveyance of all materials, labour,scaffolding, curing, lead lift , etc complete at all levels and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. .Preparation of lime may be as per specification no.6.0

Plastering with cement mortar 1:3; 12 mm thick including neat cement flushing coat for repair of flooring, top of RCC and parapet including cost and conveyance of all materials, labour,scaffolding, curing, lead lift , etc complete at all levels and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Thoroughly scrubbing, scrapping and cleaning the thickly white washed surface in several layers over the wood work using proper tools and different grade sand papers without making any damages in the wood surface and rectifying the petty damages wherever seen using proper materials to match the existing surface

Filling the major cracks by providing and applying approved products like Asian Paints-Smartcare Hybrid PU Sealant in proportion recommended by the manufacturer into cracks/honey-comb area of concrete/masonry by suitable method including cutting of nipples after curing etc. complete as per directions of Engineerin- Charge.

Thoroughly scrubbing, scrapping and cleaning the thickly painted or varnished surface of the wooden members with or without small ornamental cornice, ceiling panels, louvered shutter using chisel, different grade sand papers to get the original wooden surface including all labour charges, scaffolding, etc. complete.

Applying white or colour wash by mixing glue & indigo as per requirement three or more coats to surfaces such as walls,columns, ceiling etc, after scrapping and sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etc. complete including cost and conveyance of all materials, labour, scaffolding etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Preparation of lime may be as per specification no 11.7 and test certificate of lime may be produced by the agency

Providing and applying sealer compound after Preparing the surface/cracks with suitable wooden fillets after cleaning and smoothing the surface and grooves with special chisel/tools applying 1 or more coat of wooden filler diluted in special thinner.Entire surface will be sand papering smooth manually without disturbing the wooden carving details.Apply second coat of wooden filler and sand papering smoothly.Then the entire surface will be applied with two or more coat of sealer compound . (MRF, sheenlac)

Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade.New work (two or more coats) including a coat of approved steel primer but excluding a coat of mordant solution

Providing and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint for old surfaces of approved quality primer on steel work including cost and conveyance of all materials, labour, etc.as directed by Engineer-in-charge at all levels.

Finishing with Epoxy paint (two or more coats) at all locations prepared and applied as per manufacturer's specifications including appropriate priming coat, preparation of surface, etc. complete.On steel work

WATER SUPPLY & SANITARY INSTALLATION

Supplying and fixing European type floor mounted white glazed WC with trap including seat cover, with CP brass hinges and rubber buffers, 10 litres capacity PVC low level white flushing cistern with fittings and brackets, 40mm dia PVC flush bend over flow pipe with mosquito proof arrangements,with all necessary fittings complete including cutting and making good the walls and floors etc. complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
