od363434/2022_2023 : Planting Buffalo grass by excavating planting bed 30 cm deep at specified area shown in the planting plans and preparing the same with thorough mix of good quality fertile soil, river sand, dried cow dung manure and leaf mould mixed in the ratio of 1:1:1:1, removal of rubbish and surplus earth if any, including lead, lift etc. as directed by the engineer in charge and supplying and planting Grass Buffalo grass sod, machine cut at a uniform soil thickness of 15 mm, plus or minus 6 mm, at the time of cutting, measurement for thickness shall exclude top growth and thatch. Individual pieces of Buffalo grass sod shall be cut to the supplier’s standard width and length. Maximum allowable deviation from standard widths and lengths shall be plus or minus 15 mm on width and plus or minus five percent on length. Broken pads and torn or uneven ends will not be acceptable. Standard size sections of Buffalo grass sod shall be strong enough that it can be picked up and handled without damage. Buffalo grass sod shall not be harvested or transplanted when its moisture content (excessively dry or wet) may adversely affect its survival. Before harvesting, the turfgrass shall be mowed uniformly at a height of 25 to 60 mm on winter season grasses and 20 to 40 mm on summer season. Grass turfgrass sod should be transported unloaded at site with care and protection and without any damage. The planted Grass turfgrass have to be maintained for a period of 3 months after the entire planting is completed. The Rate shall include necessary labour, supply of materials, safe keep of Grass , cost of conveyance, removal of rubbish and surplus earth etc. Complete.
