Operation and maintenance of the scheme, which includes, providing technical staff, valve man, operators, and others who are required to run the system in a complete manner and providing all materials & chemicals required, for the operation of jack wells / WTP /pipeline repair works 1. Regular maintenance of civil structures like Jack well, WTP, PWS, pump house, ZBR, IPS, OHT and all other civil structures. The maintenance consists of all kinds of repairs to damaged structures, cleaning and washing, and painting for civil structures once in two years 2. Repairs and replacement of damaged pipelines, valves etc. If found necessary. It includes the cost of materials and labour charges and also monitoring of the systems. The maintenance involves raw water rising main, pure water gravity mains, and pure water rising mains. maintaining the required discharge in each pipe including controlling all the valves so that each village will get the required designed quantum of water. 3. Operation and maintenance of water treatment plant including dosing of required quantity of alum, chlorine and other chemicals including replacement of sand/filter media as required as per standard of established norms from time to time. Maintaining the quality of water as per the guidelines of the CPHEEO manual and ISI specifications including the cost of testing of water at a laboratory at regular intervals. 4. Operation and maintenance of all kinds of pumping machinery, and other mechanical components of this scheme including electrical maintenance covering all repairs/replacement of transformers / Electrical cable/switchboards/replacement of burnt parts of machinery All the above repairs & maintenance will be carried out as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge for the satisfactory functioning of the scheme to provide designed LPCD of drinking water to all the habitations of the Project villages. Note: Helpers / Watchman / Valve man / Technical staff made available round the clock for maintenance period at Jack well, WTP, Pure water Sump, IPS, ZBR, and OHT points. The contractor should maintain a Log Book on the working of pumping machinery at Jack well, WTP etc. The payment will be made based on the Engineer-in-charges' satisfactory report of every month's end etc complete with all lead and lift and loading and unloading as directed by the Engineer incharge of the work
