Erection of pumpsets: Erection of the DWT pumpset on the floor with necessary formation of machine foundation using suitable size MS channels, cross girder, plate girder, nuts & bolts, washers etc., complete. Lowering of bowl assembly,column pipe assembly into Jackwell and fixing of discharge head in position true to line vertically, maintaining the vertical hollow shaft, motor alignment, dynamic balancing and linking to delivery line using delivery pipes from Jackwell, proper packing of the hole after laying the pipe with CC 1:2:4 etc., complete. The work also includes providing necessary anti vibration mounts, Bolts, nuts fixing etc., including necessary civil works. The motor shall be mounted on the first floor and the discharge head of the pumps along with the valves and delivery manifold shall be mounted in the ground floor. The work includes erection of motor coupling to the pumpset etc.,which are required for operation of the pumpset satisfactorily as directed by EIC.

ERECTION OF CAPACITORS: (3.3 KV) Formation of suitable CC foundation in CC 1:2:4 using all the required materials such as cement, sand,jelly etc., complete and erection of the capacitor on the above foundation using the required materials etc., complete including the cost of all the materials required labour etc., complete as directed by EIC.

ERECTION OF TRANSFORMER: Formation of suitable elevated platform in size stone masonry in CM 1:6 using all the required materials such as cement, sand, jelly etc., complete and with MS rail embeded on the top of the platform, hoisting the transformer for the erection on the above platform and erection of the transformer on the platform including the cost of all the materials required labour etc as directed by EIC.., complete with supply and spreading of 40 mm down size jelly - 630 KVA 11/3.3 KV, 1250 KVA power transformer.

Erection of Metering Cubicle on platform of 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.2 m size stone masonry in Cement Mortar 1:6, Earthwork excavation for foundation, laying CC 1:4:8 for foundation, pointing to SSM with CM 1:3, Plastering the Concrete surfeces in CM 1:4, Curing etc., complete as directed by EIC..

Earthing : Maintenance free earthing system to be installed for the protection as per IS 3043 - 1987 including formation of suitable size pit in all soils. The earthing system shall consist of: EARTH ELECTRODE : Earth electrode shall be MS material subsequent hot dip galvanisation of minimum 250 microns / GI tubes to ensure maximum conductivity. The technology shall be either pipe in pipe or pipe in flat. The space in between shall be filled with high conductive compound which resist the corroision. The length of the electrode shall be 3 mtrs .Minimum of 80 mm dia electrode shall be provided for pipe in pipe technology. EARTH ENHANCEMENT COMPOND / Back fill compound: The compound used for backfilling the earth shall enhance the earth material conductivity . The compoundshall reduce the resistivity of the earth to less than 1 ohms. The compond shall be highly conductive and contain homogenous mixture of chemicals. It shall be environmental friendly, non corrosive, not explosive, not cause burns and irritation to eye, skin etc. The compond shall not contain bentonite, salt , charcoal and other dissolvable materials. The compound shall be insoluable in water and shall retain its moisture property uptoi the life of the electrode. The life of the electrode and pit shall not be less than 25 years without any maintainence. The quantity of compound shall not be less than 50 kgs/ pit. EARTH PIT CHAMBER: The earth pit chamber size shall be 300 mm x 300 mm x 5 mm concrete chamber with concrete slab or cover. TESTING POINT: Earth pit testing point shall be provided at the suitable location and above ground level. Testing shall be done after completion of installation. Final grid resistance of each area shall be measured and shall be within 1 ohm. NOTE:-1) All the equipments, such as switchgears, transformers lighting arrestors shall be earthed by two seperate and distinct connection as per IE rules and as required by electrical inspectorate without any extra cost.. 3) Since, the earthing points of different equipments and fault level are interconnected , the contractor shall submit the calculations for no of pits required before executing the work. 4) The work also includes connecting the common point of earthing to the earth pit with necessary coupler/ Extothermic welding as per IE rules

LAYING AND JOINTING OF MS PIPES AND SPECIALS: Rolling, lowering, laying true to line perfect linking at the joints and jointing of MS pipes specials including fixing of valves guages for delivery connections of the pumps upto including delivery manifold using all the required materials such as bolts, nuts, washers, rubber packing etc., complete. The work shall include providing pipe supports, anchoring wherever required etc., complete. The work shall include providing pipe supports, anchoring whenever required etc., including making of holes in Jackwell/Pumphouse and packing with 1:2:4 concrete as directed by EIC . NOTE: The tenderer should furnish the layout drawing showing the position of valves, Tees, Pipes, providing for future pumpsets etc., and obtain approval from the Chief Engineer before taking up erection work.

FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENTS : Supply and delivery at site brand new fire extinguishers consisting of 2 Nos. of cylindrical type carbon di-oxide gas pressure type suitable for 25 to 35 feet range operation with initial charge and suitable brackets as per 1 fire extinguishers regulations. a) Supply and delivery at site brand new suitble size first aid box with medicines. b) Supply and delivery at site brand new 1 No. shock treatement chart. c) Supply and delivery at site brand new best indeneous make 1 set of fire buckets, consisting of 4 Nos. of bucket 1 No. teakwood suitable stand. The fire buckets shall be painted in red and marked on each bucket in Kannada the work "Fire" this shall be painted with one coat of anticorrosive primer and two coats water proof red paints etc., complete as per fire extenguishers regulations. d) Supply and fixing of cable route indicators - 25 Nos.

CHAIN LINKED WIRE FENCING : Supply & providing chain linked wire fencing for 11 KV transformer sub-station. The chain linked fencing should be with 2"x2"x8 SWG wire welded with angle iron frames of size 2.5mx2.5m using angle of using 50x50x6mm. The frame be fixed to be supporting channel spacing at 2.5 M size 100x50mm rails transportation and labour for fixing silver painting etc., complete with door with 2.5m size at suitable place including all taxes of size (20x15 Mtr) as directed by EIC.

COMMISSIONING AND TRIAL RUNNING : Servicing and commissioning of pumpsets along with all allied electrical equipments including, heat running all the electrical equipments and giving performance tests of the pump motors, switch gears etc., including giving trial run for a period of 90 days from the date of successful commissioning of pump sets and other equipments to the satisfaction of the Engineer -in- charge of the works, and training the departmental personnel in operation and maintenance of the pumpsets and ohter allied equipments during maintenance. (Power and water will be supplied by the Board during the trial run). The tenderer should employ skilled operating personal during mateinance period for the operating of pump.

Earthing: Providing earthing as per latest IS 3043, and the work shall include the following: Supply and providing, earthing electrodes comprising of GI pipe 40mm dia 2.9 mm thick 2.5 mtrs long, the pipe shall have 16 through holes of 12mm dia staggered along the length of the pipe as per ISS suitable length 19mm dia GI pipe provided with mesh covered funnel GI bolts, nuts washers, check nuts, at one end and coupled to main electrodes through a 40mmx19mm GI conduct at the other endDigging 300mm dia earthing pits to suitable depth for buring the main electrodes in the pit. The pit shall be filled with alternate layers of salt and charcoal 150mm thick around the pipe to the entire depth. Servicing and commissioning: The pumpsets along with all other elecrical equipments shall be serviced and commissioned in the presence of the Engineer-in-charge of work including trail running for a period of 90 days. The work shall include the following servicing and heat running of the pumpsets along with allied equipments. Calibration of switch gears relays and meters giving performance tests of all electrical equipments.Giving performance tests of the pumps such as discharge, effency and the power absorbtion etc. Providing operating and maintenance manuals of the pumps and allied equipments to the operating personnel. Giving trail run of the pumpsets for a period of 90 days from the date of successful commissioning. The contractor should employ personnel to operate & maintain the pumpset and accessories during the trial run period and should train the Board/Municiple Staff to operate the pumpsets. NOTE: 1. The energy and water will be provided by the Board free of cost. 2. The pumpsets along with all the electrical equipments shall be commissioned only when the performance of switch gears, relays are wittnessed by the Executive Engineer in charge of the work and Assistant Executive Engineer (Electrical) of the Board and certified regarding the performance of relays/switch gears.

Standard, integral flanged connection. It should be a simple design with minimal parts for operation and maintenance At no point the flow section area is less than 100% of the nominal diameter. The flow passage must be Streamlined, unobstructed. Floats made of naturally-buoyant material (specific weight lower than water). Air-filled bodies that may crash or deform under pressure are not allowed. Floating is additionally- supported by open air-traps within the main float. Only the top float is subjected to pressure differential. It is a solid robust item, tested at 150% of rated valve pressure. Hydraulic sealing of main orifice provides drip-tight closure at very low pipeline pressure. A solid back-up of the main orifice seal, on the orifice flange, provides a mechanical stop to the top float following high-pressure stress of the resilient seal. Thus, resilient seal is operating within its elastic memory zone. The floats, shaped as buoyant cylinders, centrally- guided, top and bottom, by stainless steel 304 shafts, which are not located in air flow area. The top float is connected to the main float in such a way, that the distance between the two may vary by a few mm. The gap is used to open the small orifice, when the main float is losing it's buoyancy due to low water level. A very wide, resilient, smooth flat face seal ensures drip-tight sealing at very low pipe pressure. The cross-section area of the small orifice in the top float is calculated to ensure separation of the floats, even at high pressures, when the main float is losing its buoyancy. The small orifice is made of SST316 and has a ‘self-cleaning effect’ design, ensuring that the small orifice is not clogged by small particles. Its narrow passage is very short and enlarged to a bigger diameter immediately. Under pressure, this causes an air jet that removes any debris and dirt. No plastic small orifice is permitted as it may wear out by the high flow velocities. In case of requested service, all parts can be replaced conveniently by unskilled personnel using ordinary tools. A shield disc at the bottom, having a larger diameter than the float cylinder, provides protection against premature closing due to a high outflow of the air. The cover of the valve and the seal flange are shaped in a way that any "blow up" of water during valve closure is diverted sideways. The cover design of the standard valve enables the attachment of a "Surge Arresting" device as an additional option. This can be done at the site, without having to replace or temporarily remove the valve from the line. Valve body can contain, on request, two 1/4" tapped inspection ports, above and below the float. The valve body is coated by electro statically-applied, oven- baked Polyester coating.
