Work Name: O&M of MVWSS to Herkal and other 15 Villages in Bilagi Taluk of Bagalkot District: Operation and Maintenance for 4th year: A)Establishment: Operation and Maintenance of the scheme as per TOR which includes providing sufficient technical staff, such as (1) Pump operators-2 Nos (2) Valve mans-4 Nos (3) Supervisior-1 No (4) Helper cum Watchman -2 Nos - Total -09 Nos etc who are required to run the system (Labour charges includes PF employers contribution @13.16%, ESI employers contribution @4.75% & Service tax @12%) for complete manner and providing required materials, Pumping machinery at intermediate sump to Regular maintenance of civil structures: Regular maintenance of civil structures like pure water sump, pump house, and all other Civil structure. The Maintenance consist of all kinds of repair to damaged structure cleaning & washing and painting for civil structures. Entire infrastructure must be maintained in good working condition through out the year so as to ensure uninterrupted water supply to all the habitations through out the year and repairs and replacement of damaged pipeline valves etc.if found necessary it includes cost of materials and labour charges and also monitoring systems the maintenance involves Pure water raising mains, gravity mains, maintaining the required discharge the quantum of water in all mains. 2) Operation and Maintenance Maintaining the quality of water as per guidelines CPHEEO manual and ISI specification including cost of testing of water at laboratory twice in a month and generating the reports duly submitting to the division. 3) Operation and Maintenance of all kinds of pumping machineries: Operation and maintenance of pumping machineries established in intermediate sump, and other mechanical components of the scheme with due care by pump operators duly lubricating, greasing with all required care and should run the pumps satisfactorily including electrical maintenance covering all repairs replacement of electrical cable/switch board, replacement of burnt parts of machinery. Replacement of all parts of machinery will be carried out as per the direction of the engineer in charge for satisfactory functioning of the scheme to provide the designed discharge of drinking water to all the habitations of the project. 4) Transportation and Communication Charges: Transportation Charges include cost of mobilization of staff for satisfactory functioning of all pumps, Sumps all other components of scheme. Providing uniform to staff, precautionary accessories such as wellington shoes, torch, helmet, hand gloves etc. required to discharge their duties satisfactorily. The communication charge includes cost of communication to the staff through mobile phones for conversation amongst the staff spared over the project. Note : Helper/watch man/valve man/electrician/technical staff made available round the clock for maintenance period at all sumps. a) The GP or VWSC/concerned section officer of the project certify the satisfactory functioning of the scheme and based on this payment will be made to the contractor. b)The contractor should maintain a log book on the working of all pumping machineries, intermediate sumps including day today records of units consumed per day. The payment will be made by the Engineer in charges for satisfactory report of every month end (the GP secretary and SO in charges of WSS should give satisfactory report) subject to condition appended in TOR.Complete with all lead and lift loading and unloading as directed by the Engineer in-charge of the work.c)The O&M should generally be based on guidelines laid down in Jal-Nirmal project Volume-1, Technical manual chapter-14. This includes schedule of daily operations, schedule of inspection of machineries, maintenance of records, staff position, inventory of stores, maintaining hygiene around structures, recording flows, maintenance of intakes, maintenance of pumping machineries including daily observations, semiannual and annual inspections. Facilities for maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting, preventing maintenance of electrical equipments including monthly regular maintenance, transformer maintenance, maintenance of transmission system, distribution system, flow measurement devices, chemical feeding units, mixers, maintenance of sedimentation/settling tanks, rapid/slow sand/pressure filters, maintenance of gauges, all valves gadgets, bumping of filter beds, encrustation of media, removal of mud balls, slime growths, maintenance of back wash requirements, chlorination equipments, cleaning and maintenance of pure water sump, aerators and all others wpp components to ensure pure safe adequate drinking water at adequate times.(Excluding energy charges)Note:-Contractor should execute the work as per the technical sanctioned estimate Quantities like Establishment,Consumables,transportation and communication,office accommodation,stationery charges,etc .,which is attached.
