SUBMERSIBLE MOTORS:- Totally enclosed motor filled squirrel cage induction motor conforming to the latest IS 9283-1995 shall be of wet type design suitable for water cooling and water lubricating. The submersible motor shall be fitted with the following: a. Seamless steel tube outer motor casing. b.The stator shall be made of steel and shall be statically and dynamically balanced, the stator laminations shall be chemically tested and pressed under high pressure. The stator shall be vacuum impregnated with varnish from inside and epoxy painted outside shall be baked to ensure long life. The stator winding wire shall be of high quality electrical grade electrolytic copper provided with heat resistant coating and water proof, water resistant, hard PVC insulated tested of high voltage. The winding wire shall be of adequate current carrying capacity. c. The motor shall be made of high quality stampings the rotor lamination shall be stacked and fitted with electrical grade electrolytic copper bars and endrings. The rotor shall be mounted on stainless steel motor shaft and shall have stainless steel sleeves at the bearing end. The rotor shall be dynamically balanced to ensure vibration free operation. d. The motor shall be provided with Fixed/Mitchell type antifriction thrust bearing which is designed to withstand axial thrust loads with minimum wear and tear.
