Preparation and consolidation of sub grade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity after excavating earth to an average of 22.5 cm depth, dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and re-rolling the sub grade and disposal of surplus earthwith lead upto 50 metres.

In all type of soils

Dismantling old plaster or skirting raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 metres lead. (Note: The rate shall be inclusive of scafolding works required to execute this item)

Removing old existing m.s angles and mild steel posts embedded in coping concrete by gas cutting and stacking, conveying & returning to the departmental store yard, etc., including demolishing the embedded plain cement concrete & disposing off the debris upto a inital lead of 50mtr, etc complete as directed by engineer -in- charge.

Breaking and removing the size stone masonry walls as per requirements and as directed by Engineer in charge, including providing all tools and plants such as chisels, breaker machines, etc. wherever required, including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of un-serviceable material within 50 meters initial lead etc.,complete.

Laying size stone masonry in cm 1:6 in foundation and in superstructure including rough dressing and providing bond stones in each course at 2 M apart including curing etc complete as per specifications. (Note: Size stone removed from existing SSM shall be used i.e. cost of size stone shall be excluded. Also the breaking of existing SSM shall be payable under seperate item.)

Removing, coiling, stacking, conveying & returning to the departmental store yard, old existing barbed wire, removed from m.s/stone posts etc complete as directed by engineer in charge.

Providing and laying size stone masonry in cm 1:6 in foundation and in superstructure including rough dressing and providing bond stones in each course at 2 M apart including cost of materials, labour, curing complete as per specifications and direction of EIC. Note: The rate for this item shall be quoted by considering Ordinary Portland Cement(OPC) to be used in the mortar. However, if contractor prefers, it is encouraged to use Portland Pozzolana Cement(PPC) and a rate reduction of Rs. 0.2 per kg of theoretical consumption of cement shall be applicable on the quoted rate for the same. The theoretical consumption of 75 kg cement per cum of masonry work shall be considered for calculating the deduction.

Providing and laying cement concrete for the following works of specified mix using graded stone aggregate of 25mm maximum size including necessary formwork, machine mixing, transporting, placing in position consolidation, finishing, curing etc complete as per specifications.

CC 1:4:8 in foundation

"-do- PCC 1:2:4 below/above plinth using stone aggregate of 20mm max. size including necessary formwork machine mixing, transporting, placing in position consolidation, finishing, curing etc complete as per specifications.

Conveying & carrying out the surplus excavated earth/debris by mechanical means upto 1km lead over a initial lead, disposing and leveling at places shown etc to the required level and grade and as per the instructions of Engineer in charge.

REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE: a) All RCC shall be controlled concrete unless otherwise specified and shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the specifications. b) The rates for RCC works shall be exclusive of cost of reinforcement and formwork unless otherwise mentioned. c) All course aggregate to be 20mm maximum size and uniformly graded unless otherwise mentioned. d) For all RCC items, the rates quoted shall include the following, without any extra cost to the Dept. i) Fixing at correct level and in proper alignment the inserts, pipe sleeves, pipe ii)Bends, fan hooks, other pipe specials etc supplied by the Department iii)Cut outs in slabs, construction joints etc iv)All exposed concrete surfaces shall be closely hacked as per specifications and as directed by the EIC Reinforced cement concrete of all grade conforming to IS 456-2000, at all floors and levels using granite graded stone aggregate of 20mm and down graded including machine mixing, conveying, placing in position, mechanical consolidation, finishing, curing, scaffolding etc complete all as per specifications, but excluding the cost of form work and steel reinforcement (which shall be paid under relevant item). The minimum cement content shall be 350 kg/Cu M for all types of grades and structural elements.

All lifts below and above finished floor level Note: i)The rate quoted shall be exclusive of reinforcement and form work which shall be paid for separately under relevant items. ii)The rate shall be quoted on the basis of using 350 kg of cement per Cu M of concrete. (Any upward or downward variation required to obtain the specified strength will be paid for or deducted at the rate of Rs.6.8/kg of cement.)

FORM WORK: Providing and laying rigid water tight centring shuttering using best quality plywood/steel sheets (joint shall be tightly butted to avoid leakage of slurry, if required rubberised lining of materials as approved by the Engineer in charge shall be provided in joints) )including strutting, propping, bracing, bolting, welding and keeping the same to the line and levels. Provision for grooves, drips, throats, chamfers, inserts, conduits, junction boxes, recess, projecting dowels, staging etc complete for all insitu reinforced cement concrete works fixed in position, /horizontal/vertical/slanting surfaces as required including labour for careful removal of formwork, complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer in charge at all lifts below and above finished floor level including making provision for wherever necessary for brick dowel rods for every 600mm in columns at all lifts, brick dowel rods shall be measured separately under relevant item at all lifts and levels (Measurement for the formwork shall be area of forms in contact with concrete surfaces).

REINFORCEMENT WORK: Reinforcement for RCC work including supplying steel of various diameters as required at site of work including loading, unloading, transporting, decoiling, straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding with 1.6 MM dia soft drawn annealed steel binding wire including carrying out various tests as required etc all as per specifications and drawings including cost of spacer blocks in CM 1:2 and including providing of chairs, spacer bars of required diameter as specified by the engineer in charge at all lifts

TMT bars of approved grade as given in the drawing conforming to latest revision to IS 1786 from approved manufacturers.

Providing ruled pointing to coursed stone masonry with cement mortar 1:3, 20mm deep, after raking joints to depth of 20mm nicely lining, including cost of materials, labour, curing complete as per specifications.

NOTE: a)The contractor shall get approved the samples of concrete blocks/bricks from the Engineer in charge before procurement on large scale and shall maintain the same for the entire work. b)Necessary openings.nitches/cut outs, wherever required and asked for by the Engineer in charge, shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost. Providing and constructing precast concrete solid block masonry of compressive strength not less than 35kg/sq.cm with cement mortar 1:4 of size 40 x 20 x 20 cms conforming to I.S:2185/1965 in superstructure including cost of materials, labour charges, scaffolding, curing, pointing in CM 1:3, 15mm deep after raking joints to depth of 15mm nicely lining, including cost of materials, labour, curing complete as per specifications and direction of EIC.

PLASTERING WORK: Cement plaster for exposed brick work/concrete surface as specified below in cement mortar 1:5 at all heights and locations including scaffolding, preparing the surfaces, finishing and rendering with sponge to correct line, level and plumb, curing including making plaster fluting (plaster in steps)etc wherever required complete as per specifications and drawings. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of supplying and mixing of approved integral water profing compound conforming to IS 2645 (As specified by the Engineer in charge) for the plastering work at the proportion specified by the manufacturer etc as per specifications.

20mm thk in two coats for brick/concrete surfaces(external)(back coat and finishing coat of 10mm thk each)

Structural Steel Work:

Supplying, fabricating and fixing in position concrete / brick work etc all the structural steel items like m.s. plates, m.s. angles, m.s pipes, m.s.rounds, m.s.flats, m.s. square bars etc at all lifts as per specifications and instructions of Engineer in charge with a shop coat of primer and two coats of approved enamel paint etc complete.

Supplying, fabricating and fixing in position concrete / brick work etc all the structural steel by reusing structural steel removed under item no: 6. viz., m.s. plates, m.s. angles, m.s pipes, m.s.rounds, m.s.flats, m.s. square bars etc at all lifts as per specifications and instructions of Engineer in charge with a shop coat of primer and two coats of approved enamel paint etc complete.

Providing and fixing galvanized steel barbed wire conforming to IS 278 of make TATA WIRON or equivalent having 2 strands of 2.5mm line barbed wire and 2mm point wire, 2 ply 4 pointed barbes of 2mm dia @ 75mm c/c including providing & tying with 18 SWG galvanised iron binding wire as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer in charge. The rate shall include the cost of barbed wires & galvanised iron binding wire etc complete.

Providing fixing lowering & laying factory made RCC spun hume pipes (class NP2 of ISI) with necessary collars, jointing with hemp yarn & cement mortar 1:1 including embedding in walls, beams, floors etc. caulking the joints, curing, finishing, aligning to proper level etc., complete as specified at all lifts, excavation and PCC bedding and encasing if specified shall be paid under relevant items.
