The required prior work experience for the bidder includes substantially completed work, where payment equal to or more than 90% of the present contract value has been made to the contractor. The bidder must have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For composite works, the bidder must have completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of each component of the tender, (iii) One similar work each costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of each component of the tender. The subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted. However, for subletting of work up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor shall be asked for. In case of multiple L-1 bidders, the tender may be awarded to the tenderer having done more value of similar work in the last three previous financial years and the current financial year up to the date of opening of the tender.
