The bidder is required to have prior work experience as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited. The bidder should have completed similar works during the last 5 years. To qualify for the award of the contract, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed at least one work of a similar nature with a value of not less than 50% of the estimated value of the work tendered in the last five years preceding the year in which the tender is invited. The completion should be at least 90% as a prime contractor or duly authorized sub-contractor by the Employer. The bidder's available bid capacity is calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in anyone year during the last five years. The assessed available bid capacity is calculated as (AxNx2-B), where A is the maximum value of civil engineering works executed, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works. The bidder should also have an annual turnover of a certain amount, with a breakup of civil construction works and total works for each financial year, as certified by a Chartered Accountant. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 60% of the estimated value of the work tendered in the last five years for tender amounts more than 2.5 cr. The value of similar works completed is not explicitly mentioned, but the bidder should have relevant experience and should have completed works of similar nature and value. However, it is mentioned that the bidder should have completed at least one work of a similar nature with a value of not less than 50% of the estimated value of the work tendered.
