Mechanical Compaction of Earth and Blanket materials in layers of about 30 CM (or more or less) in loose state using vibratory compactor (of adequate capacity) so as to achieve 4 compaction as per RDSO Guidelines and Specification for Design of Formation for Heavy Axle Load - Nov 2009. Minimum EV2 Criteria as mentioned in the guidelines is not applicable. Note: The payment for compaction shall be based on the computed quantity of earth work/blanket work from the cross sections. The payment, however, will be restricted only to the approved design profiles furnished by the Engineer; or the actual quantity executed whichever is less. 5

Conducting test for determination of California Bearing Ratio as per IS: 2720

Compaction of embankment slope using hydraulic slope compactor attached to 6 Excavator by doing 2 or more passes as required to get firm and neat compacted slope of embankment as directed by Engineer. The item is inclusive of all men, materials, equipment, watering arrangement, fuel etc. complete. Note: Daily record of compaction in chainage from... to... shall be jointly signed by representatives of Engineer and Contractor.

Conducting in-situ Portable Impulse Plate Load Test (for determination of EV2 as per 7 Comprehensive Guidelines and Specifications for Railway Formation RDSO/2020/GE: IRS-0004) with 'Light Drop Weight Tester', having plate size of 300mm & weight of 10 Kg at identified locations, for measurement of compaction quality of soil {modulus of deformation (Evd) for correlation to Dpr%} and for evaluation of load carrying capacity in stages of formation construction

Earthwork in filling in Lower layer and Top layer of Subgrade in Single layer/ Two layer system respectively of formation including guide bunds, around buried type abutments, bridge approaches, trolley refuges etc using contractor's earth of approved quality as per Comprehensive guidelines and specifications for Railway formation issued vide specification no. RDSO/2020/GE:IRS- 0004 in September 2020, procured from outside railway land including site clearances, setting out and demarcation, benching, initial compaction of subsoil after levelling the surface after site clearance, spreading loose earth in layers of maximum 30 cm thickness using grader up to extra width of 0.5 m 1 beyond designed profile, compaction using vibratory compactors, top and side dressing and removal of extra earth from sides to provide final formation as per designed profile as per RDSO Guidelines. The rate shall include cutting of trees with girth upto 30 cm, making good the pockets and depressions left in soil during clearing and uprooting of jungle/trees at site and initial compaction of sub-soil thereafter. The rate shall not include cutting of trees of girth beyond 30 cm and compaction (excluding initial compaction of sub-soil mentioned above), which shall be paid separately. The minimum Ev2 Criteria as mentioned in the guidelines shall be applicable. The rate shall include cost of all field and laboratory tests including those required for subsoil but excluding CBR tests and Plate Load Test for determination of EV2 which will be paid vide separate BOQ items. d)Embankment fill with Group C Soil

Providing and laying blanketing materials of specifications as per RDSO guidelines for design /Construction of formation on Indian Railway track issued vide letter no. RS/G/108/Heavy Axle Load dated 26.10.2016, using well graded granular material having Cu>7, Cc between 1 and 3, fines (passing 75 microns) between 3% to 10%, minimum Soaked CBR value of 25 and compacted at 100% of MDD in layers of maximum 30 cm thickness in loose state using graders and compaction using vibratory compactors, top and side dressing to provide final formation as per designed profile. The rate shall not include compaction, which shall be paid separately. NOTE: 1) If naturally available materials do not meet the laid down specifications, the blanket material has to be produced by mechanical 2 process using mechanical crushing or mechanical blending method or combination of these two methods as given in the Appendix-C of RDSO Guidelines and Specifications for Design of Formation for Heavy Axle Load -2009. The rate for this item is inclusive of the production of material by mechanical process as per above mentioned RDSO guidelines and in case such mechanical process is not required to be used in providing and laying of blanketing material due to availability of natural blanketing material conforming to laid down specifications, the rate of this item shall be reduced by Rs. 250/- per cum. 2) The filter criteria and minimum EV2 Criteria as mentioned in the guidelines of 2009 is not applicable. 3) The rate shall include cost of all field and laboratory tests except CBR tests which will be paid vide separate BOQ item. 4) The Latest guidelines for Design / Construction of formation on Indian Railway track, issued vide RDSO lr. No. RS/G/108/Heavy axle load dated 26.10.2016 shall be adopted for this item. The basic instructions (other than those contained in the latest guidelines dated 26.10.2016) detailed in GE: G-1 of 2003,GE:0014 of 2009 and RDSO/2020/GE: IRS-0004 of 2020 shall continue to apply.

Turfing / planting, including all lead and lift, and watering as required until properly rooted, with. Note - Initially payment of only 40% will be made. Balance 60% will be paid only after 3 months of maintenance period if the turfing is properly rooted. b)Turfing with planted doob grass

Providing two coats of coal tar epoxy of 150 to 200 microns on R.C.C. substructures of bridges by roller or by airless spray after surface preparation.

Providing and fixing bridge plaque (750 MM base, 720 MM height triangular sectionwith 400 MM thickness) on both sides of parapet using cement concrete of specified mix including engraving bridge number, direction of flow and other details including painting the letters with enamel paint of black colour of approved quality with white back ground as per standards of railway as directed by the engineer.

Providing and fixing river name boards of size 2.10 M x 1.0 M made of MS sheet 6 MM 9 thick and ISA 50 x 50 x 5 MM frame all around, fixed on rail posts erected with railway's rails fixed in cement concrete base of size 60 CM x 60 CM x 75 CM of CC 1:2:4 including painting with two coats of paint of approved quality and colour over one coat of primer, writing the name of the river in vernacular and English in black colour with yellow back ground as directed by the engineer.

Extra for chiselling over Item no. 2022 in addition to boring of piles if chiselling is resorted to in hard rock or big stone boulders larger than 30 cm depth by any means i.e. by hydraulic chisel or mechanical chisel and hammer method a)1200 mm Diameter

Conducting load testing on single pile or on separate test pile in accordance with IS: 11 2911(Part IV) including installation of loading platform, kentledge, preparation of pile head, construction and dismantling of test cap, etc. Note: Boring and installing of test piles shall be paid under item No.2022. a)Initial vertical load test.

Providing and placing sand/earth filled bags in layers for protection of existing embankment.

Manufacturing, supplying and fixing of granite plaque of size 600 x 600 mm with a 18 thickness of 19mm as per details shown in the bridge manual including engraving foundation details, viz. Bridge No., abutment no., pier no., classification of soil, depth of foundation etc., including painting the letters duly fixing over CC platform of size 700 x 700 mm with a thickness of 75mm with all materials including cement, labour, lead and lifts etc., as directed by Engineer in charge

Conducting lateral load testing on single pile or on separate test pile in accordance with IS: 2911(Part IV) with all labour, material, tool & plants, equipment, machinery etc. complete as per drawing and specification as directed by Engineer.

Exploratory drilling of Boreholes down to required depth up to 50 M, drilling of 150mm diameter boreholes in all type of soils except hard rock and large boulders (boulder core more than 30 cm), including refilling and reinstating surface, and disposing off surplus material including use of mechanical rigs with power operated winches as well as percussion / chiselling tool for advancing through occasional seams of hard strata to be employed, where necessary in Dry area. The rates include taking out samples and conducting all tests as per requirement of relevant IS codes and preparation of final report giving complete and comprehensive record of investigations, laboratory reports and calculations in approved format. The report shall include recommended foundation type 20 for each important and major/minor bridge along with reasons.

Drilling of NX size borehole (75 mm dia) in all types of hard rock (fresh rock) and collection of rock core samples from boreholes and preserving in boxes for depth upto 30 m. The rates 21 include taking out samples and conducting all tests as per requirement of relevant IS codes and preparation of final report giving complete and comprehensive record of investigations, laboratory reports and calculations in approved format. The report shall include recommended foundation type for each important and major/minor bridge along with reasons.

Extra over item 2004 and 2014 for providing shuttering with wall form panels made of 22 12mm thick veneered particle board with commercial veneering on both sides and kiln seasoned, chemically treated hollock wood battens minimum 50X38 mm size instead of steel wall form panels as per directions of Engineer. b)For providing above type shuttering on both sides of structure

Constructing integrity test with cross-hole (two diametrically oppositen longitudinal holes along the pile shaft) ultrasonic monitoring (CHUM) method on cast in situ bored piles by 24 speacilized agency having necessary experience and expertise. The rate shall include hiring of trained professional & equipment, on site testing of pile, transportation, analysis of data recorded during test, preparation & submission of report. The rate shall include cost of labour , transport, hiring charged, all complete.

Construction and labour charge for installation and lowering down 40mm dia GI fixed & set with GI pipe (CHUM Method) jointing including Cost of Transportation & rent of Hydra Etc.

Painting of HFL, Danger level, etc., with contractor's paint, labour, tools, equipment, consumables, all leads & lifts, etc., complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in- charge

Providing and laying M 10 cement concrete in foundation and floor using well graded stone aggregate of 40 MM nominal size.

Providing and laying design mix control concrete M20/M25 in piers, retaining walls, wing walls, return walls, bottom/top plug of wells and protection work etc. using well graded stone aggregate of 40 MM/20 MM nominal size.

Providing and laying Design mix control concrete M25/M30/ M35/ M40 in cast-in-situ RCC works of raft, pile cap, pier, abutment, well steining, RCC well kerb, well cap, pier cap, Jacketing, dirt wall, return wall, wing wall, fly wing wall, retaining wall, approach slab, foot path slab, wearing course, ballast retainers, RCC railing, inspection platform, pedestal, boxes and other miscellaneous 3 works using well graded stone aggregate of 20 MM nominal size. Note: 1) Extra 32% of the rate for concreting done for the jaceting wor under ts item shall be payable and shall deem to include cost of surface preperation, drilling of holes, insertion of dowel bars and grouting of holes etc. required for the work but exclude cost of dowel bars which shall be payable seperately under relevant BOQ item. 2) While using of Decking Sheet for FOB concrete (Slab and steps ) works Rs.2361/cum will be deductable. (Shuttering area 1Cum/ 6.46Sq.m/ Rs 365.6 Sq.m)

Providing and laying dry stone backing behind abutments, wing walls, return walls, RCC boxes with stones not less than 15 CM in any direction and not less than 15 KG (except smaller boulders required for filling voids) in weight.

Providing and laying backfill material behind boulder filling of abutments, wing walls, return walls consisting of granular materials of GW, GP, SW groups as per IS 1498-1970 in required profile .

Providing and laying 300 MM thick dry stone pitching in flooring, exposed slopes, etc. with boulders of not less than 30 KG each in weight, hand packed with surface levelled off to the correct section with hammer dressing as necessary including filling the gaps with quarry spalls.

No payment shall be made for boring and concreting from ground level to bottom of pile cap level.) Boring in hard rock and big boulder larger than 30cm depth shall be paid as per the item 2023. a)1200 MM dia pile

Supplying and filling Sand in well/Box Culvert etc of approved quality in layers of 300 MM including watering, ramming.

Supply and installing Casing pipe of MS sheet for bored piles as directed by the engineer. a)For 1200 MM dia pile (MS sheet 6mm thick)

Providing trolley/men refuges, inspection ladder, hand railing, other miscellaneous components made of GI pipe/structural steel conforming to IS: 226 bolted/welded construction including fixing on bridges as per drawing and painting with one primer coat of red lead paint 2 conforming to IS: 102 or zinc chromate paint conforming to IS:104 (with total DFT of 160 microns). Work shall be carried out as per I.S. 800. Note: Payment under this item shall be done on the lines of schedule of stage payments for fabrication & erection of girders as specified in para 8.2 of part (h) 'Steel Works' of Chapter-3 (Bridges) of RVNL Standard Specifications for Material and Works - Vol.-I, Engineering Works. Payment for any stage as indicated in para 8.2, if not required for the works under the item, shall be combined with next stage payment.

Supplying and fixing HSFG bolts of any dia and any length with suitable nuts including DTI washers conforming to IRS-81-2001 for bridges and steel structures with contractors labour, tools and plants and lead and lift etc., complete.

Assembling and erection of fabricated Steel girders on bearings at site with crane/derrick / any other approved means at site on sub structure with labour, equipment, T&P 4 including site bolting with all temporary arrangements, scaffolding etc. with contractors design and scheme for longitudinal launchrng/side slewing (not requiring traffic block) approved by Railway. Rate includes drifts, service bolts, Holding down bolts etc. as per drawings.Note: Payment for HSFG bolts used any will be made separately under relevant item. Plate Girder/Semi Through Girder /Composite Girder more than 12.2m span

Supplying and fixing Gang pathways of MS/Stainless Steel chequered plates (Anti skid Stainless Steel chequered plates of409 M Grade asper Specification ASTM A240 SS and pattern BIS 3502 with average thickness of 3.5mm with bead hight of 0.8 mm min. thick - on new bridges.

Supplying T M T Fe-500/Fe-500D* reinforcement steel conforming t o IS:1786- 1985 including decoiling, straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position, binding with 1MM dia GI binding wire. Note : 1. Reinforcement, shall be measured in length for different diameters used in the works and then paid as per standard weights as per IS 1732. Wastages, overlaps, coupling, welded joints, space bars, chairs and binding wire shall not be measured and cost of these items shall be deemed to be included in the rates. 2. * For seismic zone III, IV & V, only TMT Fe-500D steel shall be used.

Providing Road Vehicle mentioned below for the use of Engineer/Employer as per the Conditions mentioned in Clause 3.4.3, i.e 3.4.3.1 to 3.4.3.3 of Chapter 3 (Site Facilities for the Employer and the Engineer) of Section 5 Work's Requirement) of Tender Documents. b)Tata Sumo, Bolero or similar
