Construction of un-reinforced, dowel jointed, plain cement concrete pavement of M40 over a prepared sub base with OPC 43 grade cement, coarse and fine aggregate satisfying Table: A below, conforming to IS 383, maximum size of coarse aggregate 31.5mm nominal size mixed in a batching and mixing plant/machine as per approved Mix design to achieve required design mix grade of controlled concrete including transporting/pumping, laying, spreading and compacting mechanically by using needle and surface vibrators, levelling to required slope/ camber, finishing with required texture, including steel form work with sturdy M.S. channel sections, curing, making provision for contraction/ expansion, construction & longitudinal joints (10 mm wide x 50 mm deep) by groove cutting machine, providing and filling joints with approved joint filler and sealants, admixtures (IS : 9103 & IS : 6925) etc. with flexural strength minimum 4.5 MPa complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-charge including providing dowel bars with sleeve and tie bars wherever required (Item of joint fillers, sealants, dowel bars with sleeve and tie bars to be paid separately).
Note for Sl 16:
1. Cement content considered is @ 390 kg/cum. Excess/ less cement used as per design mix is payable/ recoverable separately.
2. It is the responsibility of the contractor to bring and use appropriate Batch mixing plant to the construction site for production of concrete and the quoted rate shall include the expenditure towards the same.
3. It is also the responsibility of the contractor to carry out the Design Mix of Cement Concrete as per the specification above from a Govt. Engineering College and get it approved from FCI. The quoted rate shall include the fees of for carrying out the design mix charged by Government Engineering College, cost of material required to carry out the Design Mix and other incidental expenditures.
4. Dowel bars, Tie bars and Sleeve (Plastic sheeting) shall be paid under respective items.
