The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completing similar works during the last seven financial years. The specific requirements are as follows: - Three similar completed works each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost; - Two similar completed works each costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost; - One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. Substantial completion is based on 80% or more of the works completed under the contract. The value of work executed shall be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a simple rate of 7% per financial year. Additionally, the bidder should have completed or substantially completed successfully a single work of similar nature in any Government or Semi-Government department during the last 7 financial years. The bidder should also demonstrate annual turnover from construction. For joint ventures, the lead partner should have annual turnover from construction, and financial capability to meet cash flow requirement of subject contract not less than 50% of the respective limits prescribed. The junior partner should have the same qualifications as the lead partner, except for the financial capability, which should be at least 25% of the respective limits prescribed. The bidder must undertake to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the contract value of work during implementation and demonstrate having access to credit facilities of not less than 10% of the value of the contract/contracts applied for.
