Fabrication, providing, handling, laying, installation, testing and commissioning of 450mm Nominal Diameter 10 mm thick HSAW ISI-mark Mild Steel Pipes for connecting the delivery lines from Two No Discharge Elbows with the common header as per the technical specifications as under: S. No Details Requirement 1. Nominal Diameter = 450 mm 2. Thickness = 10 mm 3. Length of the pipe = Pipe shall be in single random length from 4 to 7 meter as per Clause 12.4 of IS 3589 4. Type of welding = HSAW 5. Quality of MS plate to be used for manufacture = As per IS 2062 6. Pipe to be manufactured = As per IS 3589 having one longitudinal joint with latest amendments (Grade-Fe410) 7. Hydraulic test pressure = As per 10.1 of IS 3589 8. Working pressure = PN 25 9. End preparation = As per 17.1 of IS 3589 where V-groove is to be made by machine-grinding edges of the pipe 10. Type of welding to be used for joining pipes = DC arc welding 11. Tolerances = As per clause 12.3 of IS:3589 Installation of the pipe includes carrying of these pipes from manufacturing place to the site of installation which involves loading/ unloading at respective sites. External surface of pipes to be painted with two coats of steel primer and black bituminous paint in two coats. The mild steel pipe line shall be laid as per contour/ layout plan defined by the department “Under Ground/Above Ground” on saddle blocks as per site requirement. The laying of pipes shall be carried out as per IS:5800. Pipes are to be welded circumferentially end to end in 2-3 runs in addition to the root filling of the V-grooves using high quality welding electrodes and making the joints absolutely leak proof. Any excessive welding material is to be grinded for even finish. The welding joints thus formed shall withstand the working pressure. The bends/ offsets wherever necessary shall be fabricated by the contractor out of the supplied pipe within quoted price. All tools and tackles like tripod stand, lifting/ pulling machines, welding machine, electrical generator etc. required for handling/ laying/ joining any other activity for completion of job shall have to be arranged by the firm.
