M & L for laying premix bituminous macadam 75 mm or less consolidated thickness in single layer using bitumen grade VG-30 with binder content of 4% by weight of total mix using hot mix plant and laid by mechanical paver and rolled and compacted, to required camber and gradient using 8 to 12 ton power roller to a uniform smooth surfaces, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for laying bituminous premixed semi-dense asphaltic concrete 30 mm consolidated thickness in single layer using bitumen of grade VG-30, with 5.5% minimum binder content by weight of total mix using hot mix plant and laid by mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using 8 to 12 Ton power roller to a uniform smooth surface, complete all as specified and as directed. Note for serial item No 04 and 05:- (i) Preparation of mix in hotmix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible and has to maintain the required temperature of mix under all conditions tjill it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these itrems shall include for carrying out the works with depolyment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable. (ii) Central computerised Hot mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing of constituents for preparation of bituminous macadam and the same shall be laid with mechanical sensor paver all as specifiedand directed (iii) Over newly provided bituminous macadam surfaces, further bituminous work, if ordered, shall be provided simultaneously after provision of bituminous macadamı & πο separate payment for provision of tack coat for bonding between the bituminous macadam & further bituminous work necessiated due to the time period gap or otherwise shall be made for separately (iv) The design mix shall be carried out from the Zonal lab/ Govt approved lab/Govt Engr College as approved by GE and design mix shall be got approved by GE before (v) The cost of all the above aspects shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of above item

M&L for applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer @3Kg/10 Sqm, using paving bitumen, complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for premix sand seal coat with 0.06 cum of sand mixed with 6.8 Kg of paving bitumen applying and rolled to uniform smooth surface completed all as specified and directed.

M& L for 2.5mm thick painting to new road surfaces as in line, dashes, arrows, letters zebra crossing etc on road, pavements and like with thermoplastic road marking paint @ 5Kg/Sqm and applying glass beads @ 300gms/Sqm over painted surfaces white the painted surfaces are hot by mechanical means including cleaning surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

Repairs to pot holes any depth n.exc 1 square metre each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth and making good by applying tack coat using paving bitumen @ 5Kg/10Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8Kg/10 Sqm blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chipping, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings), depth of pot holes exc 30 mm, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparation of new road surface and applying 2.5mm thick retro-Sqm reflective thermo plastic road marking paint with glass heads exc 10cm with or girth hot applied on road surface mechanically confirming to BS-6088 and according to the specification laid down in IRC and MOR&TH complete all a specified and directed.
