“Flooring of Power House by way of Epoxy Insulated Floor Coating”

Providing and applying a minimum of 4 mm thickness hard wearing epoxy coating i.e industrial flooring on turbine hall, control room and other allied areas in the power house of MHEP, Pahalgam. The application of industrial flooring should be done according to standard procedures which involves the following steps: Step 1: Surface preparation by mechanical means: Grinding of floor whichever suitable depending on surface. The concrete must be clean, dry and free of any oil or grease. A moisture test should be conducted to rule out rising dampness Step 2: Applying one coat of epoxy primer. Step 3: Applying 3mm epoxy underlay screed coat. Step 4: Applying 1mm epoxy self-level top coat. The firm should consider following conditions: A) Floor paint to be applied should confirm to the standard technical specifications as per the directions of Engineer in charge. B) Floor paint should have decorative as well as antistatic properties. C) The floor area in the power house is often subjected to oil spillage so floor coating to be applied should be oil resistant and slip resistant.

Finishing with Epoxy paint (two or more coats) at all locations prepared and applied as per manufacturer’s specifications including appropriate priming coat, preparation of surface, etc complete. On steel work.
