A) Diesel Engine. Engine to be water cooled or air cooled, turbo charged. The engine shall be provided with electrical starting arrangement and shall give the electrical 40 KVA at 0.8 power factor, 415 V for three phase systems at the alternator terminal. B) Alternator. Stamford Make single bearing alternator suitable for continuous operation, generating 40 KVA at 1500 RPM, 415 V, 0.8 power factor suitable for 50 Hz, Three Phase system. The alternator shall be in SP-DP enclosure, self-excited, self-regulated, and foot mounted with ball and / or roller bearings on end shields. The alternator conforms to IS: 4722/ BS-5000 & will be suitable for operation under local conditions C) Control Panel The control panel would consist of mild steel, dust and vermin proof cubical, duly fitted with:- Ammeter with selector switch, Volt meter with selector switch, Phase indicating lamps, MCB/MCCB with complete internal wiring.
