The bidder is required to have prior work experience in similar works, which includes Flood Protection Works, bridge, PHE/Irrigation Lift Schemes, dewatering stations, Drainage works, Micro/Mini Hydel Projects& its allied works, regulating gates on canals, rivers, nallahs, crate protection works in Rivers/Nallahs, river training works, revetments, and like etc. The required prior work experience includes:
- Two similar completed/substantially completed works costing not less than 50 percent of the Advertised cost, or - One similar completed/substantially completed work costing not less than 80 percent of the Advertised cost. The percentage of similar works completed is 80 percent or more. The value of the similar work should be brought to the current costing level by enhancing the actual value of the work at a simple rate of 7 percent per annum, calculated from the date of completion to the date of Bid opening. The bidder should have completed at least two similar works costing not less than 50 percent of the Advertised cost, or one similar work costing not less than 80 percent of the Advertised cost. The substantial completion of the work should be based on 80 percent or more of the works completed under the contract. The bidder should possess prior work experience in civil engineering works. The average annual financial turnover of the bidder during the last three years should be at least 30% of the estimated cost. The bidder should have completed similar works in the last five years. The bidder should also provide a completion certificate from the competent authority for each work completed. The available bid capacity is calculated using the formula: Available bid capacity = A x M x N - B, where A is the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, M is the multiplier factor (2), N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the work in question (N=1), and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works. The documents to be uploaded for evaluating the bid capacity include a list of completed works in the last five years, a list of ongoing works with completion percentage, a credit facility certificate from a recognized bank, and a completion certificate for completed works. The amount and percentage mentioned are: - 50 percent of the Advertised cost
- 80 percent of the Advertised cost
- 80 percent or more of the works completed under the contract
- 30% of the estimated cost
- 7 percent per annum.
