Repairs to stair case after Retrieval of the damaged washed away staircase approximately 500 m downstream to LIS chajja to the site of installation with manual labour using chain pulley block and other tool as and tackles for extraction, dragging the damaged staircase to the working platform/space for the required repair/replacement of staircase parts by cutting the damaged parts of stair case by using welding torch, repairs/fabrication of damaged staircase by P/F of 2 no. 15 feet each MS supporting channels of size 100x40x6mm. welding the retrieved steps of 2.5 feet width on MS channels, Providing and fitting of 10 no. new steps of size (2.5feet x10 inch) by welding the MS flats of size 40x6mm on MS angle (40x40x6mm) frame. Required no. of MS angle iron post to be welded on both sides of staircase to fix the 40mm dia MS pipes of appropriate length (50 feet approx.) as railings by welding to MS angle post on both sides. Welding of the working platform (2.5x2.5 feet) to staircase by providing and fabricating platform by welding the MS flats of size 40x6mm on MS angle(40x40x6mm) frame. The stair case is to be properly fixed by way of welding of the required no. of MS angle supports to be grouted in the earth along the bank. Extra support to be provided by welding both sides of staircase to 2 no. MS suction pipes on either side of stair case using MS angles. The job also involves etching of dirt and rust from the surface of the staircase using sand paper of appropriate size, making the surface smooth and even, applying one coat of primer red oxide and two coats of paint. Clearing/desilting the suction side from from silt, logs, twigs and other debris and clearing the way to approach the suction side by extracting the debris around the site at LIS Chajja using manual labour. Extraction of the washed away 200mm dia suction pipes 800m downstream without foot valves by way of excavation the pipes out of silt using tools and tackles and carriage to the site of installation by using manual labour. P/F of new flanges on both suction pipes and welding back on the suction sides using welding machine and skilled labor using tools and tackles. P/f of 2.5 feet length flanged on one side as per foot valve sample size for both pipes. P/F of 1 no. 250mm dia foot valve to be provided by the department in place of washed away foot valves. Etching the surface of suction pipes using sand paper for smoothening the surface and then applying one coat of primer and two coats of paints.the job also involves removing and disposing of mud, dust, silt and unwanted material from the surface and from beneath the electro-mech equipment’s, by way of using dhoti cloth, sand paper and then cleaning of complete electro- mech. The complete job includes cost of material including mechanical and manual carriage, skilled and semi-skilled labour, Carriage charges of tools and tackles to the site and outstation charges

Servicing of 100 H.P (1 nos.) motor at LIS Chajja by way of opening of side covers then extraction of rotor & stator. Cleaning the stator and rotors, drying the windings using heater/hot air in controlled way so as not to damage the windings due to heat for two to three days intermittently and then applying two coats of varnish and drying each coat by hot air process. Fitting the rotor and complete greasing of bearings properly. P/F of 1 no. bearing as per sample for unit no I. Fitting the damaged cable ends at motor side after repairs and then thimbling them properly by P/F of copper thimbles of required size. Servicing of 3cusec x 55m head horizontal casing pump set coupled with 100 H.P motor, by way of dismantling of the pumps, de-coupling from the motor and suction delivery lines at site, P/F of new gland packing 12mm dia with nuts, bolts and rubber sheet after cleaning the gland bushes and gland plate sets, applying sufficient amount of grease including gland packing to avoid excessive wear and tear. Complete assembling of pumps and its refitting back to its position at site for installation. The job further includes coupling the pump and motor for both units, checking for alignment and testing on full load. Job involves cost of materials, labour charges both skilled and un skilled labour and hire charges for tools and tackles, transport charges, and testing of Pumping unit at full load. Rebate on old parts has to be provided by the executing agency on account of providing/ fitting of new parts/ components. (Complete job)

Desilting of pump house at LIS Nud Behra from inside, periphery and approach pathway to the pump room caused due to heavy flooding due to cloud burst in the intervening night of 14 and 15th August 2024 and, which resulted in Complete submergence of the pump house upto roof level leaving the pump room and machinery submerged under sand and silt and other unwanted material thus causing heavy damage to the installed existing electro mechanical components. The job further involves clearance of sand, silt and unwanted material from the pump room and machinery. The electro-mech equipments inside the pump house has to be disengaged from their respective positions for the purpose of cleaning of silt/sand accumulate beneath and surrounding the equipments. After cleaning and washing the walls and floor of the pump house and then placing and fixing the components in the respective positions. Further removing of wooden blocks, bushes, stones and pebbles from periphery and along side the approach path ways. The job has to be executed by engaging labour and necessary tools and tackles. The job also involves throwing away of wooden blocks, silt, sand and stones and other unwanted materials away from the pump house at certain distance from the site at a suitable place. The job has to be executed by way of engaging labour/ handcart and other necessary required tools and tackles. The job further involves cleaning of electro–mechanical equipments from the outer surfaces as well as inner surfaces including all the small components hosted by the equipments. For cleaning purpose cotton, dhoti cloth, oil and specially recommended chemicals is to be used. The complete job involves cost on account of both skilled and semi-skilled labour, cost of materials used cost of necessary tools and tackles required, hire charges and carriage charges.
