Repairs of 120 HP VT pump of unit-IV along with its other allied works at LIS Katal Batal.

Disconnecting all the electrical connections from slip ring VT motor of 120 HP and unscrewing nuts and bolts to separate the ratchet assembly from motor lifting the motor and rotor assembly with the help of existing chain pulley and gantry arrangement and dragging/shifting to side and then decoupling the flywheel of the coupling set from the top shaft of the suction line by way of unscrewing the lock nut and taking out the locking key and then lifting the flywheel with the help of manual labour. Dismantling the ratchet assembly from the discharge head by way of unscrewing the existing nuts and bolts and then lifting the ratchet assembly with the help of existing chain pulley arrangement and keeping it aside. Dismantling the discharge head from suction, delivery line and base frame and lifting/extracting it out after unscrewing the required nuts and bolts to keep it aside. Extracting the existing column assembly after unscrewing the nuts and bolts, taking out spider guide, unscrewing the line shafts from socket joints, and extracting the damaged sleeves with the help of skilled and semiskilled labour using other required tools and tackles and existing chain pulley arrangement. Extracting all the three Nos suction pipes in similar manner and then keeping aside. Finally extracting out the damaged 05 cusec 02 stage VT pump, head load carriage of pump, line shafts, sleeves, stuffing box and one no column pipes to road side up to loading point with the help of skilled manual labour and then loading into a mechanical transport for carrying to work shop for repairs with the help of crane/tools, tackles using manual labour. Complete job includes cost of labour, carriage charges and hire charges of tools and tackles. Repair to stuffing box by providing and fitting of new bronze bush as per sample to required size of precision after re metalling, finishing and drilling holes and making internal threads on stuffing box as per requirement. Repair to top shaft by way of rebuilding with machine able SS electrode at worn out portions and then threading and making key way of required size. Providing and fitting of new CI spider guide 02 Nos. along with rubber bush as per sample. Fabrication/ providing and fitting of 04 Nos bronze body bushes. Repairs to 02Nos line shaft by way of welding, turning and making threads as per sample. Providing and fitting of 02Nos sleeves by making internal threads of required size. P/F of oil packing sheet for flanges 05 Nos cut to required size. The job includes fitting of the pump using new nuts and bolts/ studs of required sizes. Complete job includes cost of material and labour charges at workshop. Loading the repaired pump along with line shafts and other allied material into the mechanical transport using crane/tools, tackles with the help of manual labour at work shop. Unloading the same at road site at LIS Katal Batal using crane/tools, tackles with the help of manual labour. Carriage to the site of installation through head load using tools and tackles with the help of skilled labour. Lowering down the pump into the sump by connecting the line shaft by P/F socket 02 Nos and suction pipes by P/F of new nuts, bolts and rubber sheet joint of required sizes one by one after ensuring proper alignment. The 02 feet fabricated column pipe along with shaft and socket may be fitted either at bottom with the pump or at the top with the discharge head. Fitting of discharge head and connecting it to delivery line by P/F rubber sheet joint and required nuts, bolts of appropriate size Mounting the motor on the base frame after assembling the ratchet and filling of fresh M. oil 05 ltrs approximately after draining the old contaminated oil, coupling the motor with line shaft by p/f of new rubber bush (12 nos) of appropriate size. P/F of gland packing, grease, and rubber sheet joint cut to required size.Providing and fitting of new carbon bushes- 6 no., new brass nuts, bolts with washer 3 Nos., P/F of 3Nos copper thimbles of appropriate rating/size after cutting the damaged/ burnt end and then dressing of 70mm2 multi stand copper cable ends and crimping them using crimping tool and insulating it properly of rotor assembly. Complete job includes cost of material, labour charges, and hire charges of tools and tackles used. The complete job includes cost of material, carriage, fitment charge and testing on full load at site Repair to starter by way of extracting out the damaged copper contact points both moving and fixed, thimbles, no volt coil, tripping system, overload relay and replacing the same with new ones, minor repairs to operating mechanism. Providing/filling of 10 liters transformer oil for topping of starter at site Giving all the electric connection by p/f new thimbles of appropriating rating/size. The job includes cost of material, labour charges, and testing on full load at site.The bidders/contractors are advice to visit the site before quoting the rates .
