The required prior work experience for the bidder involves completing or substantially completing similar works, specifically Bituminous Surfacing Works, within the last seven and current financial years. The criteria for similar works are as follows: - Three similar works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work, - Two similar works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, - One similar work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work. Substantially completed works are defined as those that are 90% completed. Additionally, the bidder should not have poor or slow progress in running work and should not have any serious defects observed in work that stand unrectified. The bidder should also have been considered capable of taking more load in workload return circulated by DGBR. For key personnel, a Graduate Civil Engineer should have a minimum of 2 years of experience, and a Diploma in Civil Engineering should have a minimum of 5 years of experience. The bidder is required to submit a list of works in a specified format and highlight the works that prove the criteria of experience, along with a performance certificate from the client for these works. The available bid capacity can be demonstrated by submitting balance sheets or certificates from a chartered accountant indicating the annual turnover of civil engineering works constructed in the last 5 years.
