Cutting in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil , ordinary rock and hard rock, all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion damage to hill side, water pollution etc. and to protect stability hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chieseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting /exacavation ,including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width camber, super elevation and level as shown on the drawing or as directed by the Engineering -in -charge , in conformity with the requirement of technical specification of Ministry of Rural development for rural road August and clause 1603.1, 1603.2, 1603.3 of general condition of contract to acheive designed formation width inculuding hauling and stacking of material useful for constraction at suitable sites and safe diosposal of unserviceable material by all modes of transporatations in all leads and lifts of specified place in specified manner , systematically with due consideration to avoiding adverse effect of environment , trimming ,filIing of unvenness, blind edge and finishing of the road to specified dimensions to the entire statfication as directed by the Engineer-in-charge for smooth plying of traffice. Recovery for 1963.81 cubic metres @ Rs. 300.00 per cubic metres amounting to Rupees 5,89,143/- only, shall be done on prorT basi for the quantity of cutting in earth work effected. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of execution shall be absolute responsibility of the contractor , which shall have to by duly compensated by him in all cases.
