Excavation in foundation and trenches etc. (for pipe and pits) up to all depth and in all kind of soil such as pick work, jumper work, saturated soil including bailing or pumping out water, blasting in soft / hard rock, chiseling / wedging out of same where blasting is prohibited in all lead and lift including trimming and dressing of side, leveling of beds to correct grade including shoring, strutting, planking timbering and dewatering where ever required, stacking the usable and unusable and un-usable materials/soil separately and after laying, jointing and testing of pipes, returning the useful soil trenches in 15 cm layers by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated soil/unusable materials as directed with in all leads/lifts including restoration of unmetered/unmetered surfaces to its original conditions and including cost of diversion of traffic, night signals, fixing caution boards, crossing over trenches for access to houses, fencing etc. complete in all respects within all leads and lift as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Laying, jointing and testing in trenches (to level or grade) of GMS pipes Medium class jointed with 1% flanged joints & remaining 99% butt weld joints with of below diametre conforming to IS 1239-1990 (Part - I) with latest upto date amendments, suitable to withstand required hydraulic test pressure in randum length 4m-7m with plain ends and jointed with MS Flanges conforming to IS 6392-1971(Latest upto date amendments) and welding of flanges as per IS 816-1969 with electrodes as per IS 814-1991 including required number and size of MS nuts and bolts as per IS 1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fibre jointing gaskets sheet not less than 3.00 mm in thickness as per IS 2712-1998. The welding of flanges to be done on both faces (two layers outter side & one inner side) to make the joints leak proof (earth work, providing and welding M.S flanges and butt welded joints to be mearsured and paid separately) and to entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.The laying of pipes conform to IS 5822-1994 and as per CPHEEO manual and will include all operations such as cutting, welding and jointing including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respect. Excavation in trench, providing and welding of M.S. Flanges and butt welded joint shall be measured and paid for seperately. (Labour Rate)
