Providing circumferencial Butt welded joints by electrical arc welding to GMS/MSERW pipe, welded in requisite number of weld runs so as to achieve the minimum effective throat thickness of weld conforming to IS: 816-1969 specifications, by using welding electrodes of 2.50 mm to 6.30 mm of Advani , Oerlikon (Adore)-CITOJET/ESAB make conforming to IS:814-1991, at site of work complete in all respects, including manual/mechanical handling of pipes in all leads and lifts to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and welding M.S. flanges at suitable points to be provided 5% of total joint and remaining 95% joints with butt welded joint, conforming to following tables as per IS 6392-1971 (Latest with upto date amendments) with plain end GMS/GMSERW pipe in requsite ( minimum three) number of layers on both faces to make the joint leak proof. The welding of flanges should confirm to IS:816-1969 with electrodes as per IS: 814-1991 and required number of nuts and bolts conforming to IS 1369-1965 including cost of gasket sheet, nuts & bolts. The thickness of gasket sheet not less then 3.00 mm confirming to IS 2712-1998. The work shall be done to the entire satifaction of engineer in charge with in all leads and lifts.

It should also be fitted with a device to take up expansion of water with the heating of motor. The pump set should include water level guards, erection clamps , cable clips, depth gauge NRV & Sluice valves of approved class etc. The work should be completed to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in – Charge. Providing and laying copper PVC insulated armoured power 3.5 core cable ( one cable carrying all the three phases) of suitable size and capacity to and all other electrical equipments as per IS: 1554 (P-I)1988 or latest with upto date amendments of Siemens/ IEC/ICC/ make from metre of HPSEB to MCB and from MCB to bus bar switch and starter including all other accessories such as thimbles, flexible, pipes solder, nuts and bolts, cable glands etc. laid in pipes or trenches under floor. Providing and laying delivery pipe 50 mm dia and common header 50 mm dia GMS tubes Medium class as per IS 1239-1979 jointed with MS flanges of table 17 as per IS 6392-1971 up to a length of 20 metres including rappers, flanges, rubber gaskets, nuts and bolts bends ,tees reducers/ increasers with companion flanges matching with the relevant specifications up to 5 metre away from the outer wall of pump houses. The pipes shall be as per relevant IS Code and to withstand 1.5 times total head stipulated under item No.1.

Providing and fixing of floor/ wall mounted power factor shunk capacitor of L&T/Bajaj/Assian/Crompton make as per IS:2834-1986 with up to date amendments to raise the power factor at site to 0.95 for direct connections to induction motor individually of required KVAR rating according to HP offered including cables as per relevant ISI code of Siemens/Gloster/IEC make) from bus bar chamber to capacitor and also including ICTP switches of appropriate range as per IS: 4064-1978 with upto date amendments .

The power of electric motor should be atleast 10% in excess of the maximum power required by the pump in the operation range of + 10% and - 15% of the duty point head.
